Summary: Perfect laptop headphones
Review: I bought these headphones for one reason, for use with my laptop. The best feature about these headphones (for me) is that they are compact, and they come in a hard-case. That means they will travel well in any laptop case.As for the actual sound I get from the headphones -- I don't claim to be an audio expert, but music sounds clear and strong, movies sound the way they are supposed to -- no reverb, no fading of left/right stereo sound strength. The headphones themselves have me a little worried though. Because they fold up to fit in the case, I am afraid that down the line they may break. But until/if that happens, this review will remain as it is. Bottom line: good set of travel headphones, at a reasonable price.

Summary: Excellent Sounding Lightweight and Comfortable Headphones
Review: I bought these headphones to take to the gym because I wasn't happy with my ... Sony earphones. The sound from the PX 100 headphones is absolutely beautiful. The headphones are extremely comfortable. I can use the cardio equipment at the gym without the headphones moving around. They have a sturdy metal headband that adjusts for the size of your head and come with a very handy carrying case. Sennheiser also warrants the headphones for two years and that is really nice. These headphones are a great value for the money and Amazon.com offers a really good price. I also own a pair of Bose Triports that cost ... and these headphones sound about as good for a fraction of the cost and are more comfortable.

Summary: Wow, what a sound!
Review: I contemplated this purchase for a long time; forty dollars is more than I ever paid for a set of head phones. But I took a chance since the ear buds that came with my Rio Cali just didn't have the bass response I wanted. And the volume was just too low when I used them on my Polaroid portable DVD player.
Now I am kicking myself for waiting so long. These are fantastic headphones! Even at a low volume I can hear subtleties on my Cali that I missed before. The bass response is very tight, no boom, just pure bass. The highs are crisp, cymbals really do sizzle. And the mid range is right on - I hear French horns and oboes clearly.
Did I say I was pleased?
The sound on my DVD player improved 1000 percent also. These really are very efficient headphones. I feel like I am actually in the movie because all the little off camera sounds that add "spice' to a scene can be heard clearly. I even had to turn the volume down on a couple of movies.
I've read many reviews that said headphones sound better after they are broken in. How can it get any better than this?

Summary: Early Impressions
Review: I decided to go with Sennheiser after using some work headphones (the $200+ "480p" model). For forty dollars, these are definitely worth it. I've had the headphones for about a week now. I wanted to go with padded earphones rather than those that "cup" your ears. Audio quality is excellent. They have ample/impressive bass for such flimsy looking headphones. I tried these with my iPod on the "Rock" EQ setting, listening to every genre: orchestral, electronic, acoustic, etcetera. Every track came through quite nicely. I'm not a hardcore audiophile, but I do like to hear my music clear and (sometimes) quite loud. So far these have delivered. I mention that these are flimsy, but in a good way. The earphones are loosely attached to the main headband, which is flexible metal. They remind me of comfortable Plantronics headsets I have used in the past, so they don't "clamp" down on your head. They fit nice and snug. The included case is a nice plus for travel - it took me a few moments to figure it out, but it comes in handy when toting the headphones from place to place. So far I am very satisfied.

Review: I got these headphones yesterday and I'm very happy with them! Very good sound with good punchy bass, and I'm very picky about bass and these deliver what I want! The sound is very clear and now I suddenly hear stuff, that I never have heard before.

Summary: PX-100 Headphones - For the rest of us!
Review: I have been searching for headphones to replace the buds that came with my iPod. I tried the new Sony 81's from Japan which sound great, but are not my cup of tea comfort wise. I prefer the over the ear type. After much research and several tries I settled on these Sennheisers. A great choice! The sound is full and rich. Fantastic actually for a pair of headphones under 40 bucks. The open air design does let some sound out and in, but it's not a problem for me. The design is functional and the fit comfortable. They fold up nicely and the case is very portable. I think I have found the match for my iPod. Try 'em...you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Best portable headphones for less than $50.
Review: I have owned quite a few headphones over the years and few have ever combined excellent sound with good portability. You just cannot beat the sound for the price. I have a set of PortaPros also and found those to have more, but looser(flabby)bass. The larger, heavy hitters from Sennheiser and Grado will give you better performance and last longer but for a serious premium. If you are willing to spend $130, then the Etymotics ER-6 should be your portable headphone choice.

Review: I love these headphones. If I could, I would give it ten stars! My favorite music is classic rock and 80s guitar rock. These headphones really bring out the bass that I want from my music. I highly recomend them for anyone, whether or not they listen to my kind of music.

Summary: very good headphones for their price
Review: I purchased these in April 2003 for a good price (below retail); and for their cost they are a nice set of headphones. Not being an audio expert, they have excellent, rumbling, clear bass (surprising for their size) even better than my Grado Sr60. However compared to my Grado headphone, which is about twice the cost of the Px100, the mids and highs are a little bit weak. Still the mids and highs are very good and much better than any Sony or other cheapy Ive listened to. And if you are like me, sometimes the bass (without distortion -common with other cheap headphones Ive used) makes all the difference in how much a song works for you. Pros: They are durable, with a very nice (lightweight) part metal part plastic headband (with attached compact foam). The metal is nice, and although plastic is used, it seems to be used in non-stress areas and Ive had no problems with breakage even with my big head. The cable is very thin but very strong. It folds up on metal hinges to become very compact. The earpads and headband is supposedely replaceable. And did I mention the bass is crystal clear? Cons: Slightly weak (but still good) mids and highs (no distortion but not crystal clear). Overall: very nice for their cost: for the most part the adage that you get what you pay for is true for headphones; but in this case you get possibly the best available for what you pay for. (if you pay more you will get a better set of headphones, but for this price its a bargain set of headgear). Fin
