Summary: Can't wear them for long
Review: I found these to have reasonable to excellent sound for the price. They are lightweight and give good bass response with no degradation to the mid and high tones--although the high tones can be a bit "bright" for my tastes. My biggest problem with these phones is that after I wear them for 20 minutes or so they begin to get very uncomfortable, making my head and ears ache.

Summary: Comfortable to wear, Decent sound quality
Review: I got theis for few days, its really comfortable to wear it for long time. I got a HUGE head and this thing still fits me very well. I bought this thing to get myself isolate from my roomates hardcore rock music and listen to my own classical stuff, it surely did its job.
I know Sennheiser 590/600 DO have better sound quality than this thing, but they are all "open dynamic" design means you have to use it in a fairly quiet enviroment. Such enviroment is quite impossible to find in ordinary campus or college dorms. May be you can try Sennheiser 270/280, but Bose Triport is way more comfortable to wear, you won't feel a thing or get sweat inside the earphone even you wear it for real long time.
The isolation from outside noise also brings you another advatage, you don't have to turn your music loud to enjoy it, of course this will keep you from hearing losses.
The sound quality on this thing is decent, not very good but its decent. Some high pitch sound blured out when I use it (it happened when i was listening Ein Deutsche Requiem by Brahms) but its not too serious. Overall, the sound is good, could be better, but good enough that you can hear everything and you won't be disturbed by outside enviroments.
One suggestion for those who bought this for their computers, turn off any equalizer or plug-ins when you use your Windows Media Player with this headphone, this head phone is good enough that you don't have to use those software enhacements. Actually, you can have better quality of sound if you turn those enhacements off. I use it with my IBM T30 laptop and Creative Extingy external sound card, I really feel the sound quality get better and the less blured sound after I shut off those plug-ins and equalizers.
One bad thing about this is this thing is expensive, I said this because I spend 149 bucks and I got a package looks like some 59 or 69 bucks product. Of course i am satisfied with the headphone itself but when you spend 149 dollards you should get something more.
In cocnclusion, this thing is good, its great. Especially for those people live in apartemnt or dorms. If you hate your roomates or neighbors keeps on bombarding you with some hardcore rock music or watching TV all the time while you try to study or enjoy the type of music/movie/game you like, ths would be good choice. Of course you can buy a Sennheiser 580/590/600 if you always have a quiet place to use it, otherwise I would recommend Bose Triport.

Summary: Definitely not worth that much money
Review: I had these for a couple weeks before I sold them on ebay. That pretty much explains how much I disliked them. The only thing really going for them is comfort. The sound is OK, about what I'd expect from maybe a $30 or maybe even $40 pair. But $150?? I think these are supposed to be a status symbol or something, because there's just nothing that great about them. I bought some Sennheiser HD280's instead and like those a lot better, although they're not nearly as comfortable and light. Save your money, do some more reasearch. Buy something else.

Summary: Simply put -- THE BEST
Review: I have grown up with the "ear bud" type of headphones and they always end up hurting my ears after 40 minutes or so. I will have to admit that I was apprehensive to sat the least - these headphones are quite a bit larger than "ear bud" types - but when I put them on and listened to my first CD I was absolutely blown away. I honestly believe that I have NEVER heard music through ANY set of headphones sound as good as it does through these. I have heard a lot of people tell me that Bose is full of hype and marketing expertise and their products are marginal - well - I cannot speak for their speakers and other products - but these headphones DELIVER THE GOODS. When I go to the gym and use my "sport" headphones I am SO dissappointed with the difference in the sound quality - listening to the SAME music - is SO vast. Buy them. Receive them as a gift. Borrow them. Do whatever you can to get a pair of these headphones!

Summary: Lightweight, Great sound
Review: I have had these headphones for almost 2 years and use them almost every day. I have had 0 problems. They sound better than Sony,Sennheiser,Koss and several other brands that I tried. The only thing that even came close was Grado. I can't understand why everyone is having breakage problems. I use mine constantly and take them everywhere. There is no evidence of wear or stress. If you pay $150 for something it needs to be taken care of? No they are not built with as much plastic as the other brands but that allows them to be lighter and more comfortable. I recommend these very highly, but if you are a gorilla or just plain careless go buy the $10 headphones because you probably can't tell the difference anyway.

Summary: Good enough sound, but breaks readily & can't be repaired
Review: I like the sound fine, but the headphones have a couple of ways of breaking: where the over-the-head plastic joins the u-shaped yoke attached to the earpiece, and where the earpiece mount pivots in the over-the-head plastic. They're just too cheaply and flimsily made. Nothing like seeing $150 bite the dust just because of some broken thin plastic parts. :(

Summary: Not worth the money.
Review: I listened to these and the bass is way too deep.Feels like youre gonna fry your ears.Even if you set the bass to the middle it still sounds like bad.Trust me if you want a great product from this company just buy the Wave Radio youll be much happier.It is almost indistinguishable from my expensive Sony stereo and the speakers sound just as good if not better than my SSMB200H bookshelf speakers.That is a high peak in technology and worth the money.These headphones are horrible though.

Summary: Caution: Fragile
Review: I purchased these headphones because I had read many reviews stating that the sound quality was amazing. After hearing them I'd give the sound quality 4 stars. The bass quality is very good and the over-the-ear design is very effective at blocking outside noises. The headphones are also very light-weight and relatively small when you consider the great sound quality they provide. HOWEVER, there's just one problem; the adjustable headband breaks VERY easily. The part that extends on each side is made out of metal however they are encased in plastic. When these metal arms are in the extended position and you try to put the headphones on, there's only about a centimeter of plastic (about 1 millimeter thin) that's being made to withstand the force of opening the headphones to put them on your head. In my case, all I did was try to put them on when I heard a snap. It was very sudden and pretty shocking how little force made them break. I've always been extremely careful with every electronics product I've had and this is the only time something like this has ever happened, but apparently, based on other reviews, I'm not the only one this happened to. I'm returning them today (2 weeks after getting them) but something tells me I'm not getting my money back. That's 150 bucks down the drain. Please keep this in mind when buying this product.

Summary: Overpriced and Over-Rated
Review: I was very unhappy with these. For the price I paid for them, I expected them to feel sturdier. The double cord is very annoying. The ear pieces are angled and quite far from your ears so they sound very muffled and the bass sounds unnatural. I took them back. You can get much better headphones in the same price range.

Summary: I Hope This Helps
Review: I'm not the type to take a chance on expensive headphones that hve no professional reviews, but since I had a GC and needed a good pair of headphones I went for these. They retail about the same everyhere (see the page you're viewing for price). They're Bose, but like most Bose products you ultimately get what you pair for. First thing I noticed is that they were a little cheap looking. Trying them on however they felt very comfortable, something I could definitely get used to having on my head (and I see no reason why they won't hold together as time goes on). A lot smaller and lighter than studio headphones, they still provide a deep rich quality sound. Living at college, I've seen students with headphones bigger than these walking around campus. Don't get me wrong, they're definitely stereo phones meant for indoors (especially since you're gonna wanna crank these and other people are gonna hear it loud and clear). However, they are certainly not heavy duty and not a huge nuisance at all to travel with you somewhere. Also, though it doesn't isolate others from your music very well the headphones do a wonderful job of isolating you from a good deal of outside sound. I really wish I had some Sennheiser or Grado to compare with, but I can say for sure that these really rule over those sony 600's studio monitor headphones right at the triple digits. All in all, I can't compare to the headphone brands known for quality, but I CAN say for sure that I can't think of any complaints for these headphones nor how music could sound any better than this. Expensive, but I don't regret the purchase at all. They are cheap looking but obviously well constructed, comfortable, fit great, and sound flawless. I have nothing great to compare to so I can't tell you if they're superior to your Grado's but for those who haven't invested in a great set of headphones but are looking to, you'll enjoy these a whole lot. I really hope this helps people like me looking for reviews.
