Rating: Summary: The DSL Dilemma Review: Thank you Tina! We got this phone as a gift and really enjoy its many options...truly. It is a lot like having a cell phone in the kitchen, but the tones are fun and the address book is great. However, we too had the DSL dilemma. The manual does not really address this issue and was only giving us minimal information about the static problem we were facing, but the review listed on this page solved out problem! We had a filter on the line, but found the filter to be faulty, when corrected, our phone was great!
Rating: Summary: Terrible battery life Review: The one disappointing aspect of this phone is the positively anemic battery life. My old Panasonic cordless could go 3 or 4 days before I would have to charge it. I have to put this AT&T on the charger at the end of every day. I would highly recommend purchasing the extra set of batteries that are stored and charged in the base. You'll definitely need them if you talk for any length of time on this phone.
Rating: Summary: This phone is fine Review: This phone has a great sound as long as you have a noise filter if you use DSL. It took me buying 3 diffrent phones(3 brands) to find in the user manuel this information. Not even AT&T customer service gave me this important info, so if you have DSL and buy any 5.8 cordless you may need a filter. If you have fuzz or static try this before you return to the store. Phone has many options that others do not. Wall paper isn't great but is a nice feature. I like the way this phone hangs on the wall unlike the others 5.8 this one does not stick out too far on the wall. Ring tone are not the best but if you like the way cellphone sound than the tone are just fine. Give this phone a try and do not forget the filter. TLAdams

Rating: Summary: Excellent Phone - Great Features Review: This phone has excellent reception. While searching for a new phone, I have tested the higher-end models from Panasonic, Uniden and VTech. The AT&T E5965C "clearly" had better reception and range than any other model tested! Also as previously stated there is no WIFI interference.
Some of the better features as listed in the product description (above) include: AA NIMH batteries (good usage life, no memory issues, easy to replace). 25 minutes of very clear answering machine record time with slow/fast message playback options. The ability to check the answering machine from any of the remote phones is a wonderful convenience and lastly the hands-free speaker phone on any of the headsets is extremely clear and easy to understand, both talking and listening.
