Rating: Summary: Best Phone Ever Review: Strange that there is a mixed range of ratings for this phone...I can say from personal experience (in the course of 7 months) I've had no problems whatsoever...I take great pride in making sure the battery is used correctly (you must treat nickel batteries differently from the "smarter" lithium batteries), etc..etc... One of the superb features of this telephone is programming your favorite numbers (family, friends, loved ones) so that when they call, the ringer changes and flashes orange (instead of a typical ring with a green flash for all other calls)...that is, if you have caller id hooked up. The cordless unit even has a BUILT IN speaker phone (not to be confused with the OTHER speakerphone on the base unit)....this feature is EXTREMELY useful when I want my significant other to hear the same conversation. Another cool feature is the page function; whenever someone leaves a message, the phone will dial my pager and write down any number I wish...in my case, I've programmed the unit to page me with the exact phone number of the caller. All in all, the best phone I've ever purchased...with good care and responsible use of the battery (this nickel cadmium type battery needs to be used up completely before charging...you can't just hang it up all the time on the base unit), you will find that you have made a great purchase.
Rating: Summary: Charging circuit kills the batteries Review: The charging circuit on this phone will overcharge the batteries. The phone itself gets extrememly hot. This cooks the NiMH batteries resulting in a talk time of about 20 minutes. Panasonic does not offer to replace the phone. However, if you call their service number and tell them the battery won't hold a charge, then they will automatically and without question offer to send you a free replacement battery. They are cheerful and courteous about this. Expect to have to call them every couple of months for a new battery. I suspect that Panasonic figures this is cheaper than replacing. Eventually, you will get tired of calling them and/or will have replaced the phone with something else.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: The phone is COOL...I've bought many cordless phones and this one is definately the best I have owned. Like the size and look and feel of it. great buy!
Rating: Summary: Beware - Don't buy this phone Review: This phone has been a disaster. The reception drops off after 30 feet (line of site) and is totally lost after 40 feet. It doesn't work upstairs in my house. If you cradle the handset between your head and shoulder (while carrying children, cooking, etc.) two problems occur: a) your head presses the "hang up" button disconnecting the line and/or b) the phone is too short so when you cradle the phone your cheek blocks and covers up the microphone on the handset and the person on the other end of the phone call cannot hear you. The phone only works when you hold the phone with a hand and consciously hold it slightly away from your head so as not to hang up or cover the microphone. Even so, the ear speaker must be perfectly aligned with your ear or else you can't hear the phone. This is very annoying. AVOID PURCHASING THIS PHONE. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

Rating: Summary: Phone reviews! Review: This phone has great quality sound. I like being able to plug headphones into the base--giving you two phones in one! Unfortunately, I returned this phone as the answering machine would get an annoying "grown sound" between messages on it. I bought the KX-TG2563 Panasonic instead (it does not have answering machine). Have had this unit for two weeks and so far no problems.
Rating: Summary: The Worst Phone Ever Review: Whatever Garbage said, I agree. It is the worst phone ever. I encountered the same problems including Panasonic having the worst costumer service of any company I know. I will never buy their phones again and you shouldn't either.
Rating: Summary: I absolutely LOVE this phone Review: Why do I love it? The handset is small enough for a woman's hand, but big enoug for a guy to use. The speakerphone on the handset works incredibly well and has been immensely helpful with a little one around. This phone is practical and durable. My toddler has abused this phone in every imaginable way and it still works! My husband wants to get a new phone with several handsets and I've been fighting it all the way because I don't want to lose this phone. Other Panasonic phones I've seen have different handsets.

Rating: Summary: Beware the battery!!! Review: Yes, I also have experienced problems with the battery for this phone. It comes with great features and found the phone to be extremely useful time and time again. But what good is a phone that can't hold a charge a few months down the road? So I'm not sure if it's the battery itself or the phone? (...)
