Summary: It Gets Hot on the Speaker
Review: This is my 3rd choice of phone. Not all great. I am not sure how an actually 2.4GHz phone sounds like. This phone I got sounds abit too clear. I hear sounds on the other line aswell as sounds around me. At times I am unable to hear the other party due to the "clearity" of my surroundings.

The buttons like all the other views are correct. It can be sensitive at times and it can be non-sentitive. I find myslef having to push the buttons couple of times. At prolong talk, the speaker gets hot for the ears.

I maybe too picky on phones I purchase. This phone works; however, I do not feel comfortable with the features it have. Siemens could have built a more better low value phone quality, particular this model.

Summary: Its not that good.
Review: This phone has a couple of serious shortcomings that make it less than ideal for home use. The worst is that if any station answers, all others are cut off from the call. That brings up the second problem: the only way to get another station involved is to conference it in or transfer the call. Transferring the call is complicated- I don't know anyone who has this phone who can transfer a call without referring to a "cheat-sheet". The programming is complicated. Although it has a lot of features, most are very hard to access from the handset. I think this phone would be ok for a small business where a trained receptionist ran the phone all day long. But not for a home.

Summary: Best Value Cordless
Review: This phone is a great idea from Siemens. For those who do not need the extra features of the other Siemens cordless phones but want the same essential 2.4 GHz range & technology this phone is awsome. The first phone I received was defective. I received a very prompt exchange for a new phone...at the recommendation of Siemens helpful tech support. The service after the sale is there if you need it. If you can live without built in caller-ID & LCD display, answering machine, 500 extra buttons and the need to add extra handsets to the same base buy this phone. I was pleased to learn Siemens builds this phone in the United States. Wonderful minimalist phone with solid technology.

Summary: Don't buy this phone
Review: We have owned this phone for over a year and are very disappointed in its performance. The microwave interferes with voice quality very badly. Voice often has echo on other end of call. It loses contact with the base frequently at very short ranges (within my house). It registers a lot of erroneous entries in the caller id call log. Especially when you allow a call waiting to ring thru. The answering machine is cumbersome to review and delete messages. The battery life is unacceptable (less than 12 hrs standby). If the answering machine picks up and you pick up a phone other than a Siemens, the answering machine will not stop. No stop button on the answering machine either.

Summary: Took a chance... it's AWFUL.
Review: We've had this phone in black for more than a year. I chose it for its slim design. It's comfortable, sleek, has a nice ring, and reception has been reliable and clear both inside and outside the house. Not only would I recommend it, but I would purchase another siemens phone.

Summary: So expensive, so little.. also: Wireless Networking Problems
Review: What a nice phone, I thought, when I opened the box and plugged the phone in. It's after the first call that I start noticing serious problems. There were sometimes popping noises and just an annoying general background noise, in addition to echos and feedbacks from the mic. I could not believe it until I switched to a corded phone, by that all problems were solved. Very disappointing for a 2.4GHz. It was probably due to interference with my home's wireless networking, which seemed to suffer when the phone was in use (disconnections/weakened signals). The battery life was surprisingly short. I think I only placed the handset off the cradle for about 2 days on standby before the battery went kaput. That was quite a problem, as anyone with a dead cordless phone would know. Phone felt functional and had IMHO excellent industrial design. I love the modern and distinctive ringtones! Build quality suffered on my phone, with deep cuts (no idea how that came about) and uneven plastic edge fitting. I really wished they made the phone better. At the prices..., it could have been a champ.

Summary: Echo feed back through earphone
Review: When talking, I could hear my own voice (echo) feed back through the ear phone. Very annoying. I have exchanged it twice (once where I bought it and once through Siemens) and each one had the same problem. Siemens has admitted it should not echo.
