Summary: A cool-looking, but mediocre performer
Review: Synopsis: Motorola really knows how to make an aesthetically pleasing phone with a long-lasting battery life. However, calls are laden with enough static to make me look for another phone. Here's what I've noticed: The Good: * Three ring tones (Soft Beeping, Soft Ringing, Loud Ringing) * Backlit display (Green) * Rubber siding (Adds to the coolness factor) * Red LED light on the top of the handset (Flashes for incoming calls, remains on for the duration of your call) * Four-level volume control * Good voice clarity on all four levels of volume when in the vicinity (i.e., same room) of the base * Great battery life The Bad: * Interference usually occurs when in another room, is intensified near operating appliances (i.e., computer monitor, microwave), and is more than expected on a 2.4 GHz phone * Ring tones have no volume control * Green backlight is dim The Unknown: * Ten Speed Dial Presets - have not tested this * Caller ID - do not have Caller ID service I have been shopping for cordless phones for a few months now. I stumbled upon this phone a few days ago and decided to try it out. It's been about 4 days now and the one thing that stands out about this phone is that it has similar levels of interference as my old Panasonic 900 MHz phone. Needless to say, I am returning it.

Summary: Awesome Telephone
Review: The best cordless telephone I have ever bought.

Summary: Nice styling, poor sound quality
Review: There is a lot I like about this phone, however none of what I like outweighs the fact that the sound quality is so bad I had to take it back within the first week of buying it. The appearance, weight, features and price were all excellent. BUT when I spoke to someone on the phone, my voice (and surrounding noise) came through my earpiece like a loudspeaker! It's as if the mouthpiece is a microphone playing through the earpiece amplifier. Very annoying and impossible to have a conversation with anyone unless they are a real yapper and don't let you say a word anyway! I don't recommend buying this one at all.

Summary: Returned after 3 days
Review: There was much static and people complained they could not hear me. the plus side to this phone was the abilty to turn the ringer off on the handset. I returned this phone after three days. I am still searching for a decent portable phone.

Summary: If you like ringing in your ears, buy this phone!!
Review: This one of the worst phones I ever brought!!!! The phone is less than 2 months old and it gives echoes, feedback, ringing and you cannot talk while the microwave is in use. I gave it 1 star because I could not give it anything less. It does offer some good features, like the format button. Which is a time saver. But overall, DO NOT BUY!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Thank you.

Summary: Like style of phone, but quality stinks
Review: This phone has awful problems with static. I can't figure it out because from time to time I will get static wherever I am in my house and even changing the channel does not help. Another VERY AGGRAVATING problem is that I CAN NOT have my microwave running without horrific static blasting in my ear -- this is absurd. However, I give it a rating of 2 because I really like the caller id, the glowing buttons feature, and the soft buttons. The rings are also a little strange -- only one rings loud enough and the other is too off the wall.

Summary: keep looking
Review: This purchase was one of my all time biggest mistakes as far as home electronics go! Don't buy it, the sound quality is terrible. I paid $49 a few months back and you could not give me one for free now. I have my friends call my cell phone just so I can actually hear them. The positive reviews must be from Motorola stockholders.

Summary: Motorola Cordless Phone
Review: We've had our phone for about six months. We just wanted a phone with no bells and whistles and were very happy with this one until it just stopped working one day. Keys froze up and nothing we tried, including replacing the battery, fixed it. Our experience sounds comparable to some of the other reviews here. It's inexpensive enough that I don't want to mess with the warranty and judging by others comments, it's doubtful we'd get any satisfaction. We just purchased an ATT model to replace it. I won't be buying any other Motorola phones!
