Rating: Summary: Good phone for money. Review: I find the phone worth the money. You can not use both handsets at the same time- which I knew from other reviews before I bought the phone. That is really the only con I see. Reception is very good. This phone is a good option for someone who wants a cheaper version of a multiple handset phone. I bought it to use in a place where a phone jack was not close. It is ideal for this use. If you want more features such as being able to use both handsets at the same time, you may want to look into a more expensive version phone. Overall I say it is a great phone for the money, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive phones.
Rating: Summary: Works very well Review: I live in a two story townhouse. The reception on the first floor is very poor. I puchased serveral different types of cordless phone but had to return them all. This Uniden model works very well. I can use it anywhere on the first floor.
Rating: Summary: Died on the 30th day Review: I was happy with this phone at first. The reception was a little fuzzy but I could live with it for such a cheap price. But one day the phone rang and I couldn't answer it. I couldn't get a dial tone either. I called the Uniden customer service and they said I needed to replace the battery pack. It seemed a little fishy to me that the battery packs on both handsets would go bad at the same time. It wasn't worth it to me so I returned it.
Rating: Summary: Lot of static noise Review: I was very happy to get 2 cordless units so cheap but now I am thinking to throw away this set. I am not able to use it due to persistent static noise even after manually changing channels multiple time during call. So every time I have to get back to my old cordless without number display. I use this phone for checking caller id.
Rating: Summary: Strike One! Review: I've had this phone for 9 months and the second handset has already broken. I like the phone in general, works well, very clear...It's just now I only have one handset!
Rating: Summary: sssssssshhhhhhshhhhshhhshhssssssshhhhh Review: I've had this phone for over 6 months now. This phone is great if you like the sound of static. Even the answering system is hard to understand due to static (which is odd, isn't it). Yay, I'm shopping for a new #@#$%#?* phone!
Rating: Summary: WiFi Friendly Review: My husband and I have a wireless internet hub in our home. This 5.8 GHz phone does not interfere with our WiFi setup. It is the first time we have achieved this! The phone is very user-friendly (VTech phones usually are) and the speakerphone is outstanding in terms of mic quality. The price is a little high for most people, but in our case it has been well worth it.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: One of the main attractors for this phone was the second handset. When it arrived, I found that you can only use one handset at a time. To me, that defeats the purpose of having two handsets. That fact should be made much more apparent in the literature. I was very disappointed. I returned the phone and will be finding another unit with an answering machine and a single handset and then buying another handset-only unit.
