Summary: oh dear god!
Review: I bought this phone about six months ago and the only good thing I can say about it is that I have yet to get bad reception during a conversation. Other than that ... I can't stand it. The first of its many problems is that the buttons to control the Caller ID, call-waiting and other features are RIGHT where you put your hand to hold the phone. I can't tell you how many times I (and those of my friends who have used the phone) have inadvertently clicked over to the other line. Then, when you actually do want to use one of the buttons to click over or check your caller ID, the buttons are so miniscule, that it's frusterating to push them.

The second major problem is that the caller ID does NOT work for call waiting. I think it has worked one time in my six month history of owning the phone. That was my main reason for purchasing it, and it doesn't even work.

Another point of frustration with this phone is that after you click over to the other line, there is about a 2-3 second delay. You find yourself repeating, "HELLO?" over and over again until the phone actually clicks to connect the line. I can't stand it!

There isn't enough room to write every problem I have with this phone, but believe me ... do not purchase it. I use my cell phone in favor of using my own home phone because I cannot stand it that much.

I hear nothing but good things about Uniden, which I plan to get very soon. Save yourself the frustration and do the same.

Summary: Worth the price
Review: I bought this phone because of the built-in caller ID on the handset and have not been disappointed. The display is clear and easy to read in bright light or in the dark. I also like the separate indicator lights for calls and voice mail. I have found the range to be very good. I can take the phone downstairs into the garage and still get a clear signal.

Summary: Caller ID with Call Waiting Feature
Review: I really like this phone except for one thing. When I'm on the phone and someone calls the Caller ID /Call Waiting feature only works half the time. I called tech support and followed their instructions and it didn't help. I exchanged the phone for another one and still no luck. I really like the phone if only that feature worked because that is the most important feature to me.

Summary: Lack of a speaker-phone in base disappoints me.
Review: If the handset is located away from the base, it has to be searched for. Many times, due to disabilities, people are forced to answer the phone after the recording comes on or will actually miss speaking to the caller due to wasted time searching for the handset. A speaker phone would eliminate this problem.

Summary: Caller ID Only Works Half the Time
Review: Thinking Panasonic has been around forever and has probably worked most of the kinks out of its cordless phones, I bought this one. The phone worked well enough with it's more basic features. However, at least half the time, the phone did not register the Caller ID number that people called me from. And I'm not referring to when a caller is "Out of Range" or their number is "Unavailable". Half the time the caller ID panel was *blank* when someone would call. I recommend any Uniden phone, which is what I replaced this with - Uniden makes solid phones that work exactly as advertised.

Summary: close to perfect
Review: what better than to have caller id on the handset of a corless phone. I used to always have to be near the caller id box if I wanted to see who was calling -- no more. The only part I dislike is not being able to scroll through the caller id list when the phone in on the headset.
