Rating: Summary: Great phone while it works. Review: I loved the phone - quality, caller ID, belt clip and the overall preformance of the unit. However I bought my first one and it just went dead after about 6 months, the second unit did the same thing. If GE could improve on the longevity of the phone it would be a great product. Let's hope GE does something about all their headsets, which seem to have the same problems.
Rating: Summary: For Business... best Phone I ever used Review: I purchased this phone for my baby-sitter at a Target. Because it was a gift I did not give her the receipt. I misplaced the receipt and tried returning this product a week or two after she started using it. She was getting a lot of static on the line, and she would press some numbers to dial out and nothing would happen. I have not been able to return this item for exchange at Target or with GE. According to my sitter she is extremely unhappy with this phone. I paid almost "" when this phone first came out. And I get nothing back.

Rating: Summary: GE 269702ge2 900 MHz Cordless Headset with Caller ID Review: I wear hearing aids that do not fit completely in the ear. This headset does not cause feed back, has more than adquate volume on lower settings and is comfortable enough to wear for extended periods. Battery life is good and with two batteries supplied there is no reason not to recycle the NiCads as recommended. All to the good, now the irritants: 1. The headset cord is to stiff, it tends to be bothersome. A more flexible cord is desireable but, because the headset is hard wired, it would be difficult to change, perhaps requiring professional maintenance people. 2. While there is more than enough information on the display it is from difficult to impossible to read in normal room light because of reflection from the window. I can see why many people buying this phone have also purchased a seperate caller ident readout, I will also.
Rating: Summary: Not as bad as all that Review: I'm surprised at the almost vicious denigration of this unit. I have owned one for six months and have found it to be useful, comfortable and free of problems. I live in the middle of town in a small apartment complex surrounded by just about every major and minor appliance and electronic device known and have had no interference problems. It does however get a little staticky when I wander away from the apartment complex. I have worn the headset many times for up to four hours continuously without any discomfort. I don't have call waiting and can't comment on this feature. And while I agree the headset cord is no limp noodle, I've had no problems with kinking and the little clip on the cord is useful in keeping it out of the way. I bought the phone so I could continuously move around and can't fault the belt clip, though the clip is too small for a large belt and works better clipped to a pants pocket or the pants themselves. I do wish the backlight feature of the display was controllable. The display is easily read with the backlight on but only comes on when using the keys. Otherwise I find I need a good direct light source. In summary, a good useful unit with which I am well satisfied.
Rating: Summary: For Business... best Phone I ever used Review: If you need a phone that you can walk with around the office or the house while keeping your hands free.... this is it. they are hard to find. I buy 3 at a time... They are a little sensitive (Cord gets Caught a lot) and the battery starts dying fast after using it for six months
Rating: Summary: Great, but flawed Review: My husband uses it for conference calls and just loves it. I have used it a couple of times for "customer service" calls. My one big complaint is that the headset cord is "built in". Therefore, you cannot use a different headset (one provided a little uncomfortable) or if the headset goes bad it cannot be easily replaced.
Rating: Summary: connection Review: this is a great and convient phone both the one without caller id. and this one; the connection cord somehow begins to create static, then ceases to work, Still i an going to buy the one with caller id again, because no other phone is small and has the features. I did however paid 119.00 for it and this phone is being phased out by GE.
Rating: Summary: Pretty and little phone Review: This phone have a very useful function, like volume control and its very comfortable to wearing in the belt. I found two inconvenient: first, the headset is a little uncomfortably and second and most important to me, it is analog and i can't connect to a digital system like systems from Nortel Telecom or Panasonic
Rating: Summary: Utter Junk Review: Useless phone for the following reasons: 1. When a call is coming in on the second line, the tone blocks the current conversation completely for almost two whole seoncds, resulting in both parties going "Hello? Hello?" 2. Belt clip stays on absolutely nothing, and the phone is always falling off in mid-conversation. 3. The cord between the phone and the headset is stiff and kinks up after a couple of weeks. 4. Any appliances running on the same electrical circuit or in close proximity to the phone and/or headset causes audible static and interference that is highly noticeable by callers. My cellular phone has better signal quality in elevators. I am looking for another phone to replace this garbage.
