Rating: Summary: Battery Life Review: A lot of reviews here have concerns about the battery life. That is because most cordless phones come with Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) batteries. NiCad baetteries have a memory effect which means the more often you charge it, the shorter the battery life. To to exrtend the battery life, you should only put the phone back on the cradle every few days or so to recharge. If you really love the phone and your only concern is the battery, you might want to consider investing in a Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery. MiMH batteries have no memory effect. It will however set you back about [price] but its cheaper than getting a new phone. If you decide to get one, make sure you bring your old battery with you so you get the one with the right tpye of connector. I wouldn't get one right away though. If your battery still works, use it till it is dead. No sense in wasting a battery you already paid for.
Rating: Summary: Buying another one! Review: I bought this phone for my mother. She needed a new cordless phone and the callerid feature was one of the reasons I selected this one. She LOVES it! We both find it very comfortable to hold and very easy to hear. The reception is quite good and we have had no problem with the battery life. My nephew likes the phone so much I am going to buy one for him for christmas. For an inexpensive cordless phone I recommend this one.
Rating: Summary: not what I expected Review: I can't carry on a conversation without constant crackling in the reception.
Rating: Summary: Good phone for the price Review: I do agree this is a good basic cordless phone. I previously bought a 2.4 ghz Uniden model and had to return it to the store, basically because other equipment in the house, like the microwave, interfered with it's reception. This phone has a better reception when I compare it to the 2.4 ghz model, for much less money. I like the fact that when I finish a call the phone shows me exactly how many minutes I spent talking. The caller ID display is easy to see. The memory is easy to program. It has a redial button. What I did not liked is that the ringer has no off switch, but it does have a ringer type that is very low in volume.

Rating: Summary: going back to Panasonic Review: I have had my Uniden phone for 4 months and the battery is gone. I am never buying anything but Panasonic from now on. I have never had problems with my Panasonic phones and don't know why I bought another brand.
Rating: Summary: This is an excellent phone! Review: I have had this phone for 18 months and I love it!!!! We bought several and returned them including a Sony. They all had a horrible echo that I couldn't stand. This Uniden has no echo and the reception is clear. The only complaint that I have is the battery is starting to go. It has lasted quite a while but I think a battery should have a longer life!I would highly recommend this phone!
Rating: Summary: john d. Review: I have only had this phone for less than a month, but I haven't experienced any of the bad things that some of the other reviews mention. The reception is very good - no static what so ever, and the range is great! This is the first 900MHz phone I've ever had so maybe I'm just not used to being able to walk around the whole house during a phone call, But I sure was suprised to be able to make calls from the back yard. Forget the negative comments! For the price, this phone is a great value!
Rating: Summary: Built like a brick! Review: I like this phone for its good features, and fairly good reception; caller id display is pretty clear. Only thing is, the handset is b-i-i-ig. I used to have a cute little AT&T phone (I lost it), which I didn't buy again because of a few things I didn't like. This Uniden is huge in comparison. My husband calls it "the brick".
Rating: Summary: I take my previous review back Review: I moved my phone to another location and the reception is now very good.Voices sound good as a corded phone. For some reason the ac outlet was causing static in the previous location.
