Description:
With its rugged good looks, 900 MHz performance, and speed dialing, this Uniden cordless phone shaped like a Harley-Davidson gas tank is for those who were born to ride. To set up the Harley phone, we inserted the battery pack, plugged in the AC power, and connected the RJ-11 telephone line cord. We recommend that you charge the battery overnight before using the phone for the first time. Programming the speed-dialing buttons is intuitive, but you may want to look at the owner's manual to review all of the phone's features. In our tests of the Harley phone, we placed the base unit in a typical home situation, where walls, floors, and obstructions might interfere with signal quality. We made a variety of calls, and the phone sounded almost as good as many corded phones, with only occasional minor static. Fuzzy reception occurred when we held the handset about 50 feet from the base. Interference increased at about 100 feet, but the handset continued to function until about 520 feet, where it lost contact with the base. As we returned to the base, the handset regained contact at about 200 feet. Pros: - Classic Harley-Davidson design
- Easy to set up and use
