Summary: Problems, problems, problems
Review: 1. Phone and base ring alternately, which is VERY ANNOYING! I should have returned the phone for this problem alone, but now it's too late

2. Can't answer the phone right away: After pressing talk on the phone, you have to wait several seconds before the phone "works".

3. The microphone on the handset no longer works; I just had to return it. This is really annoying because they can't service it locally - you have to mail it in and be without an answering machine for two weeks.

Hangs up about every 20 calls. The annoying static from the headset(s) I've tried plugging into this is beyond belief -- Awful!

And I use this for business! How embarassing!

AT&T / Lucent should be embarrased on this one!

Summary: Hey, I like this phone!
Review: Frankly, I'm perplexed by the bad reviews of this phone I see here. I've had the phone for a year with no significant problems. Sound quality is clear, the phone is packed with features (2 mailboxes, speakerphone, etc.), it's never lost a call for me, and it's just [money] at this writing. Yes, there's a one-second delay when you press the "phone" button to answer or make a call. Big deal! As for the handset being too small, I prefer it that way because it fits in my pocket. That's helpful when you're often carrying an infant and/or moving from room to room. My lone complaint: the handset ring is too shrill and can't be turned off.
Update: After a couple of years, the handset battery started dying constantly. I bought a new one for [money], but the problem persisted. I still use the answering machine but rarely the handset.

Summary: Shame on MA bell, what happened to Western Electric?
Review: Granted I'm picky about pretty much any appliance, but this one is not worth the AT&T name. AT&T used to make great phones; sadly this seems to indicate things have gotten worse. My complaints about this phone are many:

1) Sound quality is absolutely terrible. I don't just mean semi-terrible, but really bad. There's often an echo of your own voice, and both ends sound staticky. Volume is adjustable, at least, but not easily, and no setting gets rid of the static. It's maddeningly bad and at this point I don't think it's possible to get used to it.

2) Answer delay. Others have mentioned it and so will I. Never have I owned a phone that when you picked up a call, it would wait two seconds before cutting in the mic and the speaker. This is frustrating in the extreme, and hasn't gotten any easier to live with over the course of a few months.

3) Difficult features. Speed-dial can be accessed only by pressing a succession of buttons; there is no handy "MEM" button like on most other phones with speed-dial. The other buttons on the handset are downright complicated to figure out.

4) Poor reliability. Sometimes I'll pick up a call and the phone will go completely dead. It won't respond to any button input after that for several seconds if at all. Other times it has cut out--for reasons unrelated to the battery, which was charged--in the middle of a conversation. This doesn't happen often (maybe once or twice a week, which is a small fraction of calls) but it shouldn't happen at all. Cell phones are much more reliable.

5) Bad ring. The ring of the handset makes it difficult to find; somehow it's not as "directional" a sound as the ones made by other phones, so it's hard to find by ear. It's also an exceptionally loud ring, and too shrill for comfort.

Overall this is one of the worst phones I've ever used. It was purchased on the strength of its brand name. My family owned an excellent AT&T cordless for years before it finally died after a long life, and we've hit a string of disappointments with other brands ever since; that string remains unbroken.

If you like reliable phones with good sound quality, enjoy answering your phone as soon as you hit the button, like cordless handsets you can find while they're ringing, and don't need any more frustrations in your life, then DO NOT buy this phone.

Review: I bought this phone and have had no problems. The talk time is exceptional (my Sony was maybe a half hour). I just use it around the house and it's the clearest cordless I've used yet.

Summary: AT&T Misses Call with 9350 900 MHz Cordless Phone
Review: I can't tell you how disappointed we are in the AT&T 9350 900 MHz Cordless Phone and Answering System. We have always used AT&T products in our home and have always been pleased with their performance. However, this phone does not meet our expectations for the following reasons: 1. Ringer on phone and handset are not coordinated with each other or the other phones in our house. There is a symphony of multiple rings that does not stop even after the handset is picked up.

2. Reception is terrible! We thought that 900 MHz would give us decent range but even when we're using the phone upstairs (only about 50 feet from the main unit)the reception is fuzzy and inconsistent.

3. You are not able to say "hello" as soon as you pick up the handset. You must wait about 5 seconds until the ringing stops and then give a delayed "hello." This is very annoying to our callers. In addition, we have picked up the handset several times and are often disconnected from the caller.

Maybe we expected too much, but we would not recommend this product to anyone.

Summary: Too small...beeps too loud
Review: I had a previous AT&T 900mhz phone, which was world's better....but this one is just too small. The speaker is too small, the unit is too small, and it is difficult to lean the phone against your shoulder while talking. The sound wasn't all that great either....AT&T overall is a good phone company, but this is better for kids.
