Rating: Summary: I Can't Hear You.... Review: That is what I'm constantly saying to people when I'm on this phone. In addition, the headset can become unplugged if you don't pick up the phone just right. Once this happens, your call will be disconnected. Very temperamental, but in all fairness, I've had two of the GE 900 Mhz (one with Caller ID and one without) as well as the Vtech cordless headset. All of them have their own problems, but for my money I will stay with the GE.On the plus side, this unit does clip on your belt better than the GE.
Rating: Summary: Longer Conversations, Less Hassle! Review: Do you avoid calling people? Avoid returning calls? Dread picking up the phone because you feel you will be stuck talking to someone and you have a million things to get done in a day and only so much time to get through your list? Well, worry no more. Even when you call and are put on hold, you won't mind as much because you can just go balance your checkbook or get something done around the house or office while you wait. Another feature I love is the 6 hours talk time. Not that you will talk that long to any one person, but if you have a lot of calls to make in a day, you can put on the headset, attach the phone to a pocket or belt and make your calls while getting other things done around the house at the same time. Things you can do while talking on this phone at home: -Give your Cat a hug -Make a To Do List -Put away the Dishes -Pick up around the House and put away laundry -Answer the door without having to hang up on a friend -Cook, yes...you can finally cook while on the phone -Watch TV while chatting to friends and not get a crook in your neck -Work on the Computer while talking, if you have two phone lines! -Receive a call you are expecting no matter where you are in the house. No running to get a call if you are expecting one. And just about anything else you want to do because you are free, free...free not to have to hold a phone to your ear! This also has great features: -150-foot range -6 hours talk time -Lightweight headset -Easy to recharge the battery and has a really small stand that keeps out of the way. -You are not trapped; you can roam the house and still chat. -The Remote Dial Pad with the rechargeable battery pack is lightweight enough to attach to your blouse and the cord has a special clip to keep the cord going from the headset to the phone out of the way. -One-year warranty -Mute - stops the voice transmission to the receiving party. -Memory - store up to 10 phone numbers -Volume Control - I found it was fine for normal hearing -Page Function-Allows someone to summon you if they need you. Could have some unique uses, like if you are caring for someone who is ill and they need you to come back to their location when they need assistance. The headset is light enough to wear for extended periods of time. -Extra batteries can be ordered if you want to use the phone more than 6 hours a day. -Help line and Website for Support. -Neck Strap available to wear remote like a necklace can be ordered. Plus, this is just CUTE, adorable and very fun to use. For a under one hundred bucks, it is so worth the price. I have already made this my primary phone. Put an end to phone fear, this is the cure. Sure, I bought this for my husband for Valentine's Day. He loves it, but secretly I bought it for me. Now, don't tell on me! ;)
Rating: Summary: Drops calls Review: I bought this to replace a wonderful GE 900 MHz cordless.phone that quit working but is no longer made. The Plantronics works great -- as long as you're in the same room. Leave the room and it drops the call. If I wanted to stay in the room, I wouldn't have bought a cordless phone.
Rating: Summary: 5 Star Service! Review: I'd just like to pass on some praise to the good folks at Image Enterprises. I bought one of these headsets as a gift for my husband, but he wanted a cordless phone, not a headset phone. Even though this was completely my error, Image Enterprises allowed me to return it: no hassel, no fuss. They were prompt, courteous and helpful. I'd buy one of their products again without hesitation.
Rating: Summary: here's the low down from A-Z Review: -I love talking on the phone hands-free. Do dishes, work on computer, anything with BOTH hands free. -very comfortable ear/head piece (BUT the clip to keep excess wire from dangling around and catching on things is poorly done, and breaks easily) -I use this phone as my primary phone, so buying a 2nd battery is essential -1 yr warranty requires that you pay to ship your phone to them, but they send a new one back within 48 hours. -great key pad, and very lightweight -good range/distance
Rating: Summary: Nice little phone, but low volume Review: I used this phone in a work environment - in a computer room. It is very lightweight and easily clips on, thus making for easy mobility while at work. The recpetion was great, and I didn't hear any static. The phone was very durable (ie. I dropped it, the back came off, and when I reattached it - the other caller was still on the line). My one, and only complaint, is that the volume was too low. I attributed this to my being in a noisy environment, but in order for me to hear, I had to press the ear piece tighter onto my ear (which, of course, somewhat defeats the purpose of having a headset).
Rating: Summary: Nice design, doesn't work Review: The ergonomics of this phone are nice, but the thing simply doesn't work. I had two (one at work and one at home). The volume never gets loud enough, the quality of the cordless part is very poor (reminded me of the bad old days of the '80's cordless phones, lots of noise, fiddling with the thing to get rid of the hum), and when the battery dies (which is very quickly, even on standby), watch out! It doesn't merely turn off, nor does it give warning. Instead, it goes crazy and sends noise to the other end of the line and will NOT shut off! Amazingly poor.
Rating: Summary: A godsend Review: I bought one of these during a period when I was seeing someone who lived a long way away and, thus, was spending a lot of time on the phone. I was sick to death of holding a receiver to my ear and having it be red and sore once every call was finished. It was nothing short of a godsend. The headset is light and very comfortable; I scarcely realize I am wearing it, no matter how long I'm on a call. The audio level could be better - it's fairly low and doesn't adjust enough - but apart from that, I have been extremely satisfied with this phone. I really love being able to wander through the whole house with both hands free. I can even go outside a short distance. I tried a couple of less expensive hands-free phones before getting this one. If you're looking for a hands-free phone, skip the cheap, uncomfortable ones and get this one. Unless your hearing is especially bad, it's a nearly perfect solution.
Rating: Summary: unacceptable quality Review: Mobiity is nice, but after using mine for 6 months I've had too many people say they can't hear me speak with this product. I'm going back to corded headset (S20).
Rating: Summary: Better than reviews indicate Review: I've had this phone for just about a year. It's not perfect but it's better than some of the reviews I'm reading here. I use it just about daily in my home office. The absolute only problem that I've had with the phone is interference in the form of picking up a random AM radio broadcast every once in a while. I can't explain it, maybe it's where I have it placed, but it's a rare occurence so it hasn't really bothered me. Also, I wish I could lockout the keypad as I have a habit of accidently hitting keys while I wear it on my belt. Otherwise it has functioned just fine. It's reception is quite good; better than many 2.4GHz phones that I've tried. Some reviewers complain about the lack of a volume control--they should read the instruction manual because the phone does have a volume control using the up and down arrow keys. I did replace the somewhat bulky headset with a much smaller Plantronics ear boom, which also happens to have a volume control and mute. This allows me either to mute the phone without the beeping reminder or to use the beeping reminder on the phone unit (when using the headset mute I sometimes forget that I'm on mute and wonder why no one is responding to me, so I think the beeping reminder is a reasonable feature). Overall I think this is an excellent phone.
