Summary: somewhat disappointing
Review: While this phone has some nice features, I feel there are a few drawbacks that made it a disappointing purchase.First, it occasionally seems to have a speaking-from-the-bottom-of-the-barrel sound. I'm not sure whether this is a problem with the phone or with the line, but I haven't noticed this on any of the other phones in the house, including its predecessor in the same spot, so I am attributing this to the phone. Second, the handset seems to be a little difficult to engage properly in the base now that the base has been mounted on the wall. I'm sure with a little practice and care, this problem will resolve itself, but for now, the handset is falling to the floor more times than I'd like. The first problem has nothing to do with the second problem, since for the first several weeks, the phone sat on the counter instead of being mounted to the wall, and it still had the occasional echoing sound.
