Connecting via your standard phone line, the Aiptek 2000M Video Phone turns your PC monitor into a baby monitor, surveillance camera, or videophone. Remote images are transmitted with an average speed of 28.8 kbps, which amounts to a solid 15 frames per second; local pictures come through at 30 frames per second, the same as your television screen. Picture adjustments include pan, tilt, and zoom, as well as frame speed, size, and quality. A simple privacy switch disables the video for privacy. Included are a phone cord, monitor cable, and adapter card, which are the only accessories necessary to get this new toy up and running. Aiptek provides a one-year warranty.
