Rating: Summary: Very good, especially for the price. Review: This webcam is very good, especially for the price! The programs that come with it are very good and very cool as well. Its not the best quality ever. But its not horrible by far. And with yahoo its as good as most webcams are. I would recommend it for anyone who is intersted in working with yahoo or making short..and low quality movies.
Rating: Summary: Works fine with XP Review: When you install the driver, it tells you that the driver doesn't have a signiture for XP. It's still a win 2000 driver, if you click OK, it installs and works without a problem. I agree that this is unacceptable... but it does not affect performance. It works fine. I've had no problems with the functionality of this device. Picture quality is OK for the price, it's all I need to see friends and family across the country. Be sure you have a lot of light... lower light produces images with a blue tint.My wife bought this to communicate with family. If I had made the decision, I would probably have bought one that had in integrated microphone. Probably the logitec when it's on rebate... But I see no reason to replace the IC100C. If you're looking for something cheap with no rebate hassle, this will do the job.. and for under $20.
Rating: Summary: Good value, decent webcam, can work with Windows XP Review: Windows XP compatibility issues aside, this is a decent webcam with decent video quality. You can adjust the sharpness by rotating the circular frame around the camera eye, and there are three colored covers that come with the webcam - green, red, and blue. Although this webcam was only designed for compatibility up to Windows 2000, I have gotten the webcam to work on Windows XP just fine with the latest Windows 2000 drivers from www.mic-innovations.com. Occasionally (once every few months), I'll have to reinstall the drivers when Windows XP suddenly recognizes the webcam as "new hardware", but that's not much of a hassle.
