Rating: Summary: can you hear me now?!? Review: "can you hear me now?" i tried so many times with different handsets, calling different people. then finally gave up.
all people complained that they could barely hear me when i spoke even with very loud voice. well, i couldn't keep yelling the whole time, could i?
the design is fairly good. the ear piece is very big, at least for my ears. i have to use a mirror to make sure it is actually in. but one it did get in, then you feel it is fairly comfortable. the weight is light so your ears barely feel any burdens. i wore it for half hour without any discomfort. the sound is very clear and loud. impressive.
the microphone is a extended boom. you can rotate the boom to adjust. the problem, the piece is too short. it rests on your cheek. i had trired to keep the microphone right on the cheek, one inch from the mouth, etc. but people still complained, "speak louder."
nice feature like one button mute, and volume adjust for ear piece.
over all, it doesn't work as it supposed to. very disappointed at the brand.
design: 3 (boom too short, not flexible)
feature: 4
sound (ear piece): 5
sound (microphone): 1
weight: 4
comfort: 4
over all: 1 (if you can't hear me, what is the point for all other good things?)
Rating: Summary: Memo to Amazon: This headset doesn't work with Nokia. Jeeze! Review: How hard do you think it would be for the geniuses who do the layout for this page to simply state that this product works with "Most Headset-Ready Phones: Audiovox, Kyocera, LG, Motorola", as the bright green sticker says right there on the package?? The product description doesn't mention that some phones, even if they have 2.5mm. jacks, can't use this headset. So--now I have to re-package and waste my time with the paperwork, checking the credit, etc. Waa-waa-waa you may be thinking. I'm thinking that if Amazon wants my buisness on a regular basis, it will try a little harder to include critical details about the product. Jeeze.
The headset does look good, and I bet it's a great deal if you have one of the aforementioned phones. I don't know if I could have that thing hanging off my ear for very long, though. Looks like I won't have to find out.
Rating: Summary: looks great Review: i didnt really purchase this product, but it looks great already!
Rating: Summary: Finally a great headset for all my phones! Review: I have tried several headsets, including a couple that received good reviews on amazon.com and elsewhere. This is the first one that fit well and had good sound. I use it on my new Sanyo 8100 as well as my GE and Vtech cordless phones at home. I'm on the phone very frequently so I never take it off.. I just switch it to whatever phone I'm using. It doesn't hurt contrary to what one reviewer said. It is completely flexible and adjustable for a custom fit. I like a headset to fit firmly around my ear; it bothers me when they just sort of hang there. I'm wearing it now and it's firmly in place yet I can't even feel it. I'm buying another one to have on hand for when this one ever wears out. That's how much I like it.
Rating: Summary: Expensive in price but cheap in quality Review: I purchased this headset a couple months ago to use with my current cordless phones and a new one I purchased. I was excited to get one because using a headset is much nicer than holding a phone in your hand or shoulder. Intially I was fairly happy with the purchase. Eventually, people started to complain that they couldn't hear me properly on one of my phones (a Uniden 5.8ghz). So I had to use my 2.4ghz GE which had terrible signal strength (my 900mhz phone picked up alot of noise while using the headset). It became annoying, because I would want to go further with the headset so I had to make a choice between the person not hearing me or having static. I finally became too frustrated, especially since the Uniden didn't have very good signal strength either anyway and purchased a 2.4ghz Panasonic (which is an outstanding product). But the person on the other end still couldn't hear me properly with the headset on. So it must've been a problem with the headset. However, I still put up with it. Then the earpiece started coming out from the mic and it was annoying but wasn't a major problem, until.... it just broke completely. So obviously the headset is completely useless if it can't go on my ear. This is just after a few months of use. I've now decided to buy a new Panasonic headset. Others have complained of people having problems hearing on the other end while using Plantronics headsets also, so stay away from these.
Rating: Summary: Great product and great warranty Review: Plantronics is a leader in the field of headsets. Compare the workmanship on this headset to other manufacturers and you will see that the wires and parts are far better protected and more likely to last. Sound quality is excellent as well. After a while, the over the ear loop might start to become a bit uncomfortable, but that is the nature of this type of headset. Add to that a 12-month FREE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY, no matter what the reason for the breakage, and you cannot beat it!I bought one about a year ago and the wire somehowe got pulled out of the plug. I called them up and they told me without a receipt, I could not get the free replacement. I was not too upset since I was not sure that I had actually had the headset for less than 12-months. So, I sent an OUT-OF-WARRANTY quote request to them via their website on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 15, 2003 to find out how much it would cost to repair. Imagine my surprise when I found a new one at my door on October 17th! Great service. Great product.
Rating: Summary: Not Compatible with the Nokia 8260 Review: Thanks to the 1st review I purchased this product for my Nokia 8260 phone - only to find out it is not compatible with this model - I should have purchased the M133 model which is compatible. I am sorry I listened to the review - now I have paid for shipping costs and do not have a cellular headset!
Rating: Summary: Piece of junk Review: This is a great addition and accessory for my Nokia 8260. It is the first Over-The-Ear headset for the Nokia 8200 series. It works GREAT!!!! It is very comfortable to wear, and is adjustable to fit your face perfectly! The sound both in and out are also wonderful. I have had NO complaints from people that I talk to on my cell phone. They have all said they can hear me, and I can hear them without any difficulties or static interruptions. I highly recommend getting this headset.. in fact.. get two.. one for the car, and one for the house... I did, that way you always have one close by!

Rating: Summary: Awesome. I bought 10 Review: using a headset gives you an amazing amount of freedom. having one that stays put on your ear even with turning head motion, bending over, etc. is even better. with this design, it goes over your ear (you can use on either side) then you push the earpiece portion into your ear and Voila! Everyone's ears are different, so naturally, some people just cannot use it - it just doesn't fit.
But i've never been able to use the clip on or the earbuds that insert "into" the ear itself... i can wear this one 8 hours a day with my cellphone on the desk or in my pockets with no problem... those others end up hurting my ear where they touch it.
this has a mute button and volume roller on the cable. also a microphone sensitivity 3-position switch. i have NO problems with it and bought 10 of these total (not from amazon) and give them out to friends/businessmen to liberate them from the "hand stuck to head" position.
its just like sunglasses. everyone's face is different and you can't mail order a set of glasses and expect they'd fit unless you'd already visited the sunglass hut/mall to try them and get a pair thats sized for your face. so do that here also. go to the mall or a phone store and try them on first.
