Rating: Summary: Good Headset Review: People say this headset has problems with reliability? I have bashed and beaten this thing into the ground more times than I can count, and I have never had the set falter even once... Maybe some of the sets just come defective? As for the sound quality, it is amazing for my uses (Games, music, chat). I gladly put away my 5.1ch Altecs for this little $20 set.
Rating: Summary: Junk Review: Save your money. I've been through 3 Plantronics headsets over the past year. They are "VERY" easy to break.
Rating: Summary: Three month lifespan Review: The microphone broke after three months. You may buy it thinking you'll beat the odds and be one of the happy customers who say they've had good luck with this headset, but beware: I made that mistake. It isn't much of a bargain if you have to replace it in three months.
Rating: Summary: Great sound for this price! Review: The sound quality of this headset quite surprised me. I have to say that this is the best one that I have had. I can throw away those <$20 [pair] now. ;)
Rating: Summary: Two sides to this headset Review: The sound/microphone quality is good... However, the microphone might stop working eventually. That happened to me, and while it is covered by the Plantronics guarantee, I no longer have my bill so I'm screwed.I still use them though because the sound still works great.
Rating: Summary: Okay for the price Review: These are decent, but not great headphones. They have a lot of handy features, but in my opinion, are barely adequate for the use I purchased them for, which is dictation. To get the clearest sound, the microphone should be positioned slightly to the side of the mouth, not directly in front of it. While the microphone on the set does adjust up and down and in and out, it cannot be moved back and forth; so it is difficult to position it anywhere but in front of your mouth. If I wear the headphones askew, with the microphone side positioned farther backwards and the other headphone pushed forwards, I can get acceptable clarity for the voice recognition software I use. But I will be buying a different pair, and would not recommend these. Another thing I don't like about these headphones is that the earpieces become uncomfortable even after a fairly short duration (15 to 20 minutes). They are definitely not appropriate for extended wear. Also, though the headphone sound is adequate for dictation purposes, don't expect anything impressive when listening to music. They sound boxy and flat. Again, for the price I guess you can't expect too much. But for anyone who will be using these frequently, I would recommend springing for a better pair.
Rating: Summary: Great Price, Great Quality! Review: These headphones are inexpensive, and high quality. You just plug them into your sound card, and bam, they work perfectly. Great sound, bass, and great for gaming. I would be playing games and could easily tell which direction my enemy was coming from! The microphone is crystal clear as well. You can adjust it however you want, they made it very customizable. They fit nicely as well, and are decently light. Overall a very comfortable fit. The only minor qualms I have with it are that when you are wearing them, they don't do a great job of blocking outside noises. Knowing that, it's no surprise that it does not hold the sound in well either. When someone is wearing them, and with the volume decently loud, it can be heard quite well by others. The microphone mute switch could be handy I guess, I haven't found a need for it. The volume controls are good, but I found the position of them slightly akward. Another thing is, when you turn them down all the way, you can still here the sound playing very quitely. However it does go up pretty high so no one should have complaints about that. As an added bonus they come with a one year warranty. Overall it is a very solid buy, especially for the low price. I highly recommend these to anyone and everyone.
Rating: Summary: They're good while they last Review: These headphones have pretty good sound and microphone quality. But like others have said they break VERY easily and for no apparent reason. I was playing halo one day and then the cord got a short in it and I don't know why I never put an excessive amount of stress on this headset. I would tell you to save yourself a lot of wasted money and get Sennheisers I have a the PC-150s and I love them.
Rating: Summary: Great headset for the money! Review: This headset is about the best that you can get for less than 20 bucks. The microphone is very good, and the speakers are definitely adequate (not really incredible, but they more than do the job.) I have been quite pleased with my headset. I use it for VoIP applications on a daily basis, and the mute button and volume control make it a perfect candidate. Overall, I would rank it 5 of 5 stars in its price range.
Rating: Summary: Read This Before You Buy..... Review: This headset really has faulty microphone problems. I bought this headset for gaming mostly so i could talk to people online, and when i got it all i could say it wow, nice sound, good bass response and the mic was chrystal clear. Then after time and usage and the occaisional dropped headset, the mic broke on me... Just a real upset because it worked soo well before. My friend also bought one of these and he has the same problem, the mic goes out every now and then. It's really wierd. So if you really need to rely on a good microphone, i don't suggest this headset.
