Summary: Koss Headphones
Review: I was really quite impressed with the quality of this purchase. I received within 4 days of which it was sent. There were some setbacks though. The portable headphones that came with the main headphones worked only on one side, and the case didn't wind well, but what do you expect? But for the large set of headphones the sound was superb. And the extension was useful on our piano. I would advise anybody with a low price span to by these headphones.

Summary: It's All About the Sound Quality ...
Review: I would rate this product at 4.5 stars so rounding up I give it a five. This is the second pair of stereo headphones I've owned in the last two years (both bought with an eye toward a low price) and I have to say that these headphones exceeded my expectations. The previous pair I owned (Jensen ... the connector failed after about a year and a half) were too heavy on the bass. These Koss phones have amazing, crisp sound up and down the spectrum. The bass has real feel to it ... not distorted at all. Whether listening to Steely Dan, Metallica, or Reggae these phones capture the whole spectrum crisply and cleanly even at high volume. There's only one negative (and this is more of a personal issue) ... when I first put these on each time I use them it takes me a couple of minutes to find a nice fit. They tend to feel like they're going to slide off the back of my head or that the ear cup is not fitting tightly around my ear. Again ... not too big a deal and definitely a personal issue. Once they're in place you forget you have them on.
One other note of caution: Do not be swayed by the offer of the free ear buds. These are by far the worst sounding ear buds I have ever owned -- stunningly bad. I have a pair of Sony's right now that blow these out of the water ... and let's be fair ... ear buds are not know for their sonic quality.

Summary: Great sound reproduction; very comfortable; excellent bass
Review: If the previous review disconcerted you somewhat, don't pay much attention to it. Yes, I wouldn't take these headphones for rugged use such as jogging, but that's not what these were designed for nor were they what I paid money for. Also, I don't buy headphones on the basis of how they look. These headphones have the goods where it counts (e.g. sound).

You can wear these headphones for hours with few negative effects, thanks to the padding. They also block outside noise surprisingly well. The bass is great and this makes for a good listen when out of range of a good subwoofer. I found the eight foot length of the cord plenty long, almost too much for my purposes.

Perhaps the best virtue of these headphones is its value. For the money amazon charges, you get the best in this price range and possibly equivalent to some higher-priced models. My only complaint, which I share with the previous review, is that the connections are not gold-plated. Buy these if you don't want to spend a lot for what you can get for much less.

Summary: This is a great buy
Review: It was the best earphone till I bought UR20 from KOSS, which is even better.

Summary: An excellent value for above-average sound.
Review: Koss has put together a very appealing package available at agreat price ... . The headphone set is uncharacteristically light and comfortable for large headphones, but that may be in part due to the plastics and other materials used in the construction of the headphones. Long-term durability may become an issue. As for sound, the Koss TD/61 headphones excel at low-frequency sound reproduction. Bass is powerfully amplified by these headphones, though boomy bass in rap music may over-tax these headphones at high volumes. Also, high-frequency sound is lacking. The range of these headphones tops out at 15,000hz. It is advisable to spend a little more to get a set of headphones which reproduce the entire frequency range of 20-20000hz. Also, look for a headphone set with full-size 40mm drivers. This pair features two 30mm drivers, which are better than stock headphone sets, but not as good as a full sized pair.

Summary: some fine listening
Review: listening to your favorite CD on a pair of bunky headphones is like buying no-frills mustard at the grocery store. this set of phones, while not top of the line, makes both of my ears very, very happy -- pan-ing, bass, and tone are just right. and you can wear these phones comfortably for hours, depending on your haircut. recommended as a first step up the easy-listening ladder.END

Summary: Livens up your listening experience...
Review: My cheap panasonic headphones have seen their day in the sun. These new portable stereophones are comfortable, the sounds is much improved and with an 8 foot cord, you can stand up and reach a book off the bookshelf without pulling the CD player along with you. This is important when reviewing CDs in the middle of the night.

Other qualities:
25 to 15,000 Hz frequency response
Impedance: 38 ohms
Sensitivity: 93.5 dB SPL/1mW
Cord Length: 8 feet

The closed leatherette ear cushions and pivoting ear cups are comfortable and there does seem to be some external sound reduction. I appreciate the snug fit compared to my older headphones which did not provide this luxury.

They have included some 0.125-inch and 0.25-inch stereo plugs which frankly keep falling out of my ears and I'd like to know how the heck they are supposed to stay put? Don't buy this for the "extras." Maybe they will work for you, but they didn't
really work for me.

The sound quality is great and they are affordable. What I miss is the volume control being on the cord. Someone mentioned volume controls on the headphones, I don't see any. They fit well and are comfortable. Nice for the price.

Comes with a lifetime warranty.

Summary: Spend the extra 5 to 10$ on something much better
Review: My favorite brand of headphones is Koss as ive never had somuch value in other 50$ range headphones. This model has so many cutcorners I will be taking it back soon. Flimsy construction, though lightweight, will not withstand the test of time. And a general -cheap- looking headphone design that is oversized is very unattractive to me. Sony sells similar 25$ headphones that look good and are very durable with gold plated headphone connections as well that are not present on this Koss model of headphones. Spending the extra 5$ to 10$ on headphones is worth everyones time and money, especially when product longevity is a concern. END

Summary: Are you sure these are headphones?
Review: Or did someone shrink the bands and stuff them all into these things? These are awesome! I have had mine for a couple years, and I don't think I could buy a better pair. They give perfect highs, mids, and bass, at all volume levels. They are the best I have ever owned... I often shiver and get goose bumps litening to music through them.. they are that good.
