The Uniden DMX 778 cordless phones system features 2.4 GHz digital operation for clear, reliable calls, a built-in digital answering system, plus room for expansion (up to four handsets total). Featuring a stylish black and silver design with an asymmetrical charging cradle, this phone is not only attractive but also offers a wealth of features. Ready for caller ID with call waiting (with subscription through your phone service), the DMX 778 stores up to 100 names and numbers per handset (shared between the caller ID and programmable phonebook), or up to 400 per system if you add three model DCX 770 accessory handsets (sold separately). These numbers can be sorted for easy recall and can even be transferred between handsets. The handset offers a large backlit LCD displaying date, time, caller ID information, calendar, text-messaging between handsets, and navigation icons. Navigation is achieved through a series of soft-key menus and a joystick-style toggle control. Handsets can also be used as a convenient room/baby monitor and for two-way radio communication between handsets (using DirectLink mode).
