Summary: By far the best on the market
Review: I have tried a number of cordless headset phones and this is by far the best. The headset is so light, you will forget that it is on your head (this can cause some embarassment). The microphone is excellent and in three years of use no one on the other end has ever had issue with the quality of the sound. Being analog, there are limits to the range (150ft), but no more than any other 900MHZ models. Unless you are running around a very large house, I wouldn't worry about this.

If this is your first cordless headset phone, you will be very pleased with the freedom to do other things while on the phone without the neck suffering. For home office workers, this enables painless multitasking beyond you wildest dreams.

Summary: WAIT! Just consider the CT-10
Review: I love the phone but I have to stop you. The recently released CT-10 (one model up) is so superior that you should at least consider it. It about $40 more but the improvements are vast. This is a good inexpensive alternative and none of the competitve models compare. However, the CT-10 has much better battery life (5+hrs), a much smaller hand set (smaller than a deck of cards), a holder for the headset on the base, a clip for the cord (otherwise the jack wears out overtime for the movement), and a gradiated volume control (not just loud/soft). I think it is worth the upgrade if you will be using this regularly.

Summary: HUGE convenience
Review: I mainly bought this phone to save me time (e.g. fold up laundry while talking to your friends.) It's been terrific -- very convenient as a phone and has saved me a lot of time. Granted, you do have to clip the phone into your waist, but it's not uncomfortable to do so. Sound quality is fine, no significant complaints from the other side. Highly recommended! (I even got my brother to buy one.)

Summary: Disappointed...
Review: One of the reasons I bought this product was because I am familiar with Plantronics in the office. The phone itself is quite clear in my opinion and the headset is comfortable. However I am disappointed because there is not a mute button. Also, when the battery is low the phone only beeps once, it is not very loud and you have less than a minute to get another phone. I have dropped 3 calls because of the battery including one conference call while working from home.

Summary: good phone for the kitchen, not the den or bedroom
Review: Overall i like this phone. However it does have some drawbacks. 1) YOU CANNOT TURN OFF THE RINGER a big drawback if you bring the phone in your bedroom. 2) sometimes it gets high pitch feedback from the headset plug not making great contact. 3) the volume control does not go high enough for anyone with hearing problems. ON THE PLUS SIDE 1) long battery life 2) good headset with lots of different ways to wear it. 3) great reception

Summary: second time's the charm
Review: The first week after i got it it worked wonders. Then the person you were talking to couldn't here you. I called the tech support line and they triend to figure out what was wrong, they couldn't. So i sent it back to Plantronics(because the telephone comes w/ a 2 year waranty) and they sent me a new one no questins asked. I was really surprized w/ their cooperation. The second one has working for about a month now.

Summary: Deep Discount for Good Reason
Review: This cordless phone with headset may be exactly what you're looking for--if you don't mind the fact that what looks like a handset in the picture is actually a "dial pack" and cannot operate independently from the headset.

I've seen this model listed on other sites, for nearly $200. Considering it's not pure digital and won't let you use the handset without the headset attached, the list price is way too much to pay. At a MSRP far above similarly equipped telephones, you may think your paying for exceptional quality or a lot of features. Not true. You aren't going to spend $50 and get a $200 value. You're spending $50 to get a $50 value.

Example:

The sound quality, though acceptable, is not even as good as my old BellSouth 10-channel cordless I bought for $30 a couple years ago. But that's not to say this phone is bad; it's probably about average overall. The good news is that callers won't have any trouble hearing you through the headset. Another advantage is that the headset design offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to deciding how best to wear it. And unlike some of the headsets for other phones, this headset will do the job without dangling under your nose. Bottom line? Headsets are what Plantronics does best, but they should have realized that many customers want and even assume they will have the option of using the handset with or without the headset attached. Unfortunately, this model doesn't give consumers a choice. If a Plantronics headset is all you're interested in, however, you can't beat the price here on Amazon.
