Summary: Phone Talking Marathon Housewife!
Review: After tons of surfing for cordless headsets, my husband bought me this for Christmas. I love it! I'm not extremely knowledgeable in cordless headset BRANDS, but I can tell you this is the coolest thing ever! For the 1st time, I do not get a kink in my neck or a sore ear after being on the phone while trying to do dishes, laundry or even surfing on the net! The dialpack is tiny, practically weightless and I hardly notice it. The head set is adjustable and very comfy! So far on both ends the sound has been crystal clear! If you don't mind having 2 phones, and are looking for a inexpensive way to get a cordless head set...I would definately recomend this one! The only problem is that my husband loves it too! Guess what he is getting for his birthday? hahaha

Summary: The best thing that happened to the ever-busy teen
Review: As a teenager, I have hours of homework and chores to do. Before I got this phone, my neck cramped every night from having to hold my old phone between my ear and shoulder. I saw what the other guy wrote, and you won't want to use the phone with out the headset, trust me. So, for the every-day average teen, this phone is a lifesaver for your neck and it makes chores and homework alot more fun! -Max

Summary: It's ok, not the best though
Review: For one, not digital. That means that the reception quality varies greatly. Some 50 feet from the base and mine begins to fade. Manu. claims 150 ft. When it's in range, very few complaints. You hear the caller very well.

You cannot mute your voice, however. You cannot shut off the ringer. Bedrooms are not good for this phone for that reason. And you cannot use the phone as a stand-alone phone without the headset.

Callers hear a drop-off in sound quality when you use this phone over a handheld phone. Some callers tell me, "sounds fine." Others say it sounds as though I'm in a tunnel, or as though I'm on a celluar.

Knowing this, for [the price] it is a great value. For the [price] it costs at the Plantronics web site it should be criminal. If your conversations depend upon critical sound quality, look elsewhere (digital phones, dss, or 2.4 mHz). For telling telemarketers to leave you alone, it's fine.

Summary: Glad I got this!
Review: Found this and told my husband it's what I wanted for Christmas, so he had me order it. I read the first two reviews before ordering it, and I must agree with the teenager. If you plan for this to be the only phone in your house, this is the wrong model for you. However, if you hate being on hold, stuck for a half hour, unable to really get anything else done, this is a godsend. Two disadvanges I've noted: there is no way to turn the ringer off, and there is only one earpiece, when I prefer two. But this is such a convenience, those are small things and not worth bothering about.

Review: I bought this phone for my wife for Christmas. She loves it and doesn't seem bothered by the fact that it has no handset.

Summary: Not That Great!
Review: I bought this phone to use for work. Since I work from home and spend lots of time each week teleconferencing, I need a good hands free set. After doing a lot of research, I picked this one as an experiment, given that it was relatively inexpensive but carried a good name like Plantronics. I'm sorry I spent the money. The sound quality isn't that good; you sound as if you're on a speakerphone, hollow and tinny. It isn't that great from the caller's end either. I can hear myself as I'm talking into the mike and can even hear an echo when I'm dialing. Since I subsequently found people who've paid $29.99 for a similar phone and gotten much better quality, I'd recommend looking elsewhere or at least waiting until they get the bugs worked out of it!

Summary: OK quality but still rather handy!
Review: I have a repetitive stress injury in my wrists, and usually talk on the phone for a good two hours a day. It helps immeasurably to have a headset phone to use.

The quality is OK, but less than I would expect from a 900 MHz phone. It does have 40 channels, and the times I have had problems (pretty serious noise), switching channels has fixed it. The volume of the person you're talking to is very good, better than my other cordless phone. The microphone is a little too sensitive - I can hear intense wind noise if I walk at a normal pace or turn my head quickly, and people just about kill me if I crinkle a plastic bag while talking (while making dinner or something), and it makes noise if the cable from the microphone to the mobile base even brushes the boom for the microphone. As said in other reviews there is no mute or volume control unfortunately. The headset is fairly comfortable. But I have to say again how wonderful it is for my wrists to not have to hold a phone!

I think it's a good deal compared to other more expensive cordless headset phones and I'm happy with mine.
