Summary: On My Third One...
Review: It's hit or miss with this phone. When it works it's great. My first one lasted less than one year with minimal use; just one of 8 phones in our home. Second phone came DOA, hard to get dial tone like many others describe. I keep buying them and returning them until I can shake this lemon (I refuse to get stuck with a lousy service situation of mailing it away for repair etc.). Hopefully three is a charm. I will never buy another Panasonic phone. They should simply replace bad phones instead of trying to stick people with garbage and losing customers forever. Bad business.

Summary: nice range, looks great
Review: Like many users, I bought this phone for the range. And have had it for about half a year already. Have not experience any problem yet.

the range is really greate compare to other phones I had (I used to have a sony 900MHz digital). Beware that, even though the descrption says it can go up to 2 miles, that's probably when you are in a clear open space. I experiment with the phone, and It went up to about 500 feet (which is really far already considering I walked through a building with it) The baterry life is also great. last about 2 weeks on standby mode, so it's perfect for my use, since I can leave the headset in the apartment's living room, while the base unit is connected in my bedroom (i also have another phone in my bedroom)

The phone also has a very nice solid feel, and looks great, everyone who sees it likes it ( a good show off). Unlike the 2.4GHz from v-tech, which has a cheap feeling. (also, most v-tech phones have short battery life)

I consider this phone a great buy, and have been satisfied with it so far.

Summary: DON'T BUY IT!
Review: This 2500 series is a real dud (I have KXTG2550B, but others all seem to have same problem.

They work for a little while after you buy them, then give an out of range message and no dial tone--

With my phone, taking it off and putting it back on handset repeatedly sometimes get back the dial tone, but this proceedure is of course useless when the phone rings, since by the time you get the phone to work you will have missed your call.

Some component of this phone obviously stops working after a short time. There is a real quality control or design defect problem.

This is unfortunate because I wanted a water resistant phone for the kitchen.

Summary: Good Phone!
Review: This is a great phone! I've had one of this phone for a couple of months now and I bought another one for my office just now. I've used a lot of cordless phones over the years, and this one has the best range by far. I can't get any kind of interferance when I am walking around in my 3 story house no matter how hard I try. The sound quality is also flawless. The keys are lighted and the battery life is so good. My old uniden needs a charge every other day, but this phone just keeps going and going and going. The only thing that keeps this phone from a 5 star rating is that the functions of the phone is hard to access. You usually needs to enter multiple keys to use one of its many functions. But other than that, this phone is great!

Summary: Nice phone, but the advertised range is not quite there
Review: This is a nice phone, but I returned it because I really did not notice that much of a difference in distance away from the handset. I was told from 1/4 mile up to a 2 mile radius! But when I actually took it out in my apartment complex (top floor in an open space), the range barely reached to the elevator at the end of the hall (500 feet). I bought a cell phone instead

Summary: very bad QC
Review: This phone cost too much for item that works, properly, only for a few months !!
don't buy it without warranty for more then one year.

Summary: Great phone
Review: This phone has excellent range, clarity and features... i bought the 2550 (the one with caller ID) and the keypad and display are backlit so it is really easy to see at night. The phone has an optional headset jack so you can plug your microphone in. The talk button is a little small but it's only a minor problem. overall the phone is excellent!

Summary: Quality
Review: This phone is quality, it is actually more economical than a sony brand and works better. I've just switched from a Sanyo 900Mhz DSS to this model and I couldn't be happier with the HUGE step up in performance, lengthy battery time and superior range. I've read reviews complaining about range problems, but honestly...500-1000 ft is superb for a home based cordless phone, if you want "roaming range" buy a cell phone. This phone works in basements, garages, bunkers, pillboxes etc. without static or any sort of annoyance. The only problem is finding replacement batteries. Ever looked for one? Try it before you buy this because it is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. However, it is a small price to pay to keep up with technology.

Summary: Pricey for a disposable phone
Review: This phone started out great but is now a frustrating andnearly useless piece of countertop clutter. I loved all of thefeatures and had no problem with the interface, as suggested by theproduct review. Great clarity, range, and lots of speed dial slots. The phone just up and quit on me after a while. Mine lasted for anmiraculous 13 months. I've never mistreated this phone, but juuustafter the warranty expired, it began saying "out of range"even if I was right next to the base unit. So I couldn't check callerID. Also, regularly I'll hit the talk button, but can't get adialtone, sometimes for hours. Puzzling. It's most recent trick was todelete my entire stored-number memory. ... It also forgot myprogrammed voicemail number. And for all three of its antennas, Ican't get a clear signal anymore. Very scratchy. My friend owns thesame phone and has had the same problems I describe here and that youcan see dotted throughout the other reviews. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!(unless you just like buying a new one each year or sooner). ... END
