Summary: This Phone is Garbage
Review: After using this for about a year, a recurring "Out of Range" problem occurs. This phone is not worth your money. I'm never buying a Panasonic cordless phone again.

Summary: This phone useless after 6 months
Review: As another reader wrote, I, too, am now receiving "Out of Range" messages on my phone. That means that the handset is unable to communicate with the base, thus rendering the phone useless: you can't make calls, you can't receive calls, you can't check voicemail status.

I purchased one phone which lasted 7 months. The 2nd one lasted 5 months.

There is no help on the Panasonic website, so I had to return the phones to the Panasonic repair facility.

For the time that these phones worked, they were great. But unless you are happy to get new phones every 6 months or so, spend your money on something else.

Summary: DON'T BUY IT!
Review: As with the other reviewers I have similiar "out of range" issues. The only way to remedy it is to unplug the phone. Now certain buttons on the phone no longer work with a simple touch, to dial you have to pound on the button.
I am looking for a new cordless for Christmas and it will never be a Panasonic again!

Summary: It's not wall-mountable
Review: Good sound quality, freedom from noise, and range. But I really wanted a wall-mountable phone. Amazon should state which models are wall-mountable; I assumed that the base converted for wall mounting as many do, but this one doesn't. The handset is a little heavy. We use the ATT headset with it so the weight doesn't matter.

Summary: I like it
Review: I am amazed. Amazed at how good this phone is , and amazed at some of the reviews I have read on this site. I will admit that I tend not to have problems with technical things , especially electronic things, but how anyone could have problems with this product is beyond me. I almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews, but I am used to seeing such reviews on almost everything I buy. Five of the eight cordless phones that I own in two homes are Panasonic's and they have proven to be more reliable than other brand and that is what led me to purchase this one.

Aside from its good looks (personal opinion) it is comfortable to hold, comes with a belt clip, and has great range and clarity. Some people make a big deal about the navigator key. It works fine and there are four simple steps to store a number in memory. I guess some people are technically challenged, or maybe just challenged. I bought it with the Panasonic headset and it works very well too. To sum it up, I have no complaints, I like it.

Summary: Love the KX-TG2570
Review: I am pleased with the phone---it has the caller ID and answering machine. I experienced an initial problem with programming and one call to the tech support line resolved it quickly---that was nice. This is a very high quality cordless phone. It has a pretty good range--we use it out by the pool and also when driving around the property.

Summary: Good overall; some minor annoyances
Review: I bought the 2550 model (the one with Caller ID, but noanswering system). I like the phone pretty much overall, but there aresome things I would like to mention.

1) The Talk button itself is not illuminated; it's also a little small. However, you can answer a call by pressing any of the dialing buttons (0-9), which are illuminated. Still, I think they should have illuminated it somehow.

2) You WILL notice some clutter next to the big blue button: too many labels, and too many other surrounding buttons in such a small space just lead to initial confusion. Thankfully, I've almost gotten used to it.

3) The ringer volume only has 3 levels: low, high, and off. I think there should have also been "med" and "very high" settings to choose from. The receiver volume has low, med, and high settings. The battery strength has low, med, fully charged, and "recharge" indications.

4) The Caller ID function, as well as the Voice Mail indicator function, seem to work just fine. I like the fact that each function is associated with its own distinct light on the base unit.

That is, if you get a call, then the Caller ID light on the base will flash red. If that caller also leaves you voice mail, then the Voice Mail light on the base will also flash red.

There is also a separate Voice Mail button on the handset where you can store your Voice Mail access number/password...

5) Luckily, the display is backlit and can easily enough be read in the dark. It shows you the number of new calls you've received, as well as an indication if someone left you voice mail.

6) The Caller List can hold 50 names and numbers, plus date and time for each. If the same person calls you twice, then their name and number will only be listed once with an "x2" (as in times 2) notation next to it. After you review an item in the Caller List, a checkmark is placed beside that entry.

7) The Directory (where you store your own names and numbers) can hold 30 entries. You can use lower-case letters and special characters in the name fields, like "Mom & Dad". You can also copy an entry in the Caller List over to the Directory.

8) I haven't used the Call Waiting functions at all; I just don't have that service available to me right now. Nor have I experimented with the phone's range (outside my apartment).

Summary: A great Phone
Review: I bought this phone after trying many other phones. I can honestly say that this one is one of the better ones. Although it is a good phone it also has some problems. Lets start with the positive aspects. First is the range; of all the phones I have used or tried, this one has the best range out of all of them. The clarity is also excellent, although at times when I get it to close to my computer it cam buzz a little. This is really not a big issue and happens very infrequently. The construction is sturdy and it has a really sleek design that makes it look good.

For the not so positive aspects, there are a few. The biggest one that I found was with the headset heating up while in use. It heats up to the point that you have to change ear. Another is the weight. To me it seems a little heavy compared to some of the others from such companies as AT&T. Overall a great phone, that I would highly recommend.

Summary: pretty good
Review: I bought this phone the other day... the one with caller ID and Answering machine built-in and I think it is one of the better cordless phones I have ever had... It's no BANG and Olufsen, but neither is the price. The answering machine is clear and so is the speakerphone... on both ends... So is reception, as long as there are no buildings in the way... I could walk about 100 meters and still clear... besides, how many times do you talk on the phone outside your house anyways... The only thing I would change is the buttons on the handset... sure they look real cool but they are kinda cluttered, and it is hard to find certain functions without proper training...

Summary: Almost perfect
Review: I have always liked Panasonic products, especially their cordless phones. The reception is great. I can hear callers clearly and they report the same. The range of this model is unbelievable. I use one in my business which is a 20,000+ square foot building with lots of machinery and electronics. Despite these things that usually interfere with most other cordless phones, even other 900 MHz models, the Panasonic KXTG2500B seems invulnerable.

The Panasonic KXTG2500B's does have a few draw backs which stops it from receiving five stars. Its belt clip detaches way too easily. The talk button is not backlight. The phone does have a pager (finder) feature but it doesn't allow you to speak with someone at the base like most other Panasonic models. While the phone does include a jack for a headset it doesn't but should include a headset for its price.
