Summary: Uniden tested on Dateline (TV)... good enough for me
Review: Ever since I saw Dateline's (TV) installment on cordless phones about a year ago... I've only bought Uniden phones. Dateline was inside Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The crew was sitting up in the press box (top rows of seating). They had about 15-20 different phones to test. Some of the phones reached only half way down the bleachers before they started filling with static and disconnecting. Others went down to the 50 yard line. Uniden, however, went further... they went several hundred yards into the parking lot (outside the stadium) before they experienced any static. That sold me. I have 3 Uniden phones in my house (this is one of them) and they are all good phones. No problems with static or disconnecting. No problems with the phone out in the yard or even a couple of doors down at my neighbor's house. Uniden makes a good phone - and this is a good basic unit (has several channels to choose from, 10-number memory, and auto redial).

Summary: Good phone but,,,,
Review: This cordless phone has all the features I need: digital 900Mhz, 10 number memory, backlit keypad and - I especially like - Long Distance Manager which saves me substantial money every month. The voice quality is excellent. BUT...I'm on my third unit this year, and the replacement phones are only warranted for 90 days. My wife uses the headset feature a lot, and I think the headphone jack craps out rather quickly and the phone quits working. If you don't use the headphone jack much though, go for it.
