Summary: cordless phone/answering machine for the elderly
Review: I needed a cordless phone with answering machine for my 91 year old mother. She could carry the handset portion with her on her walker and not have to run for the phone; also would have it with her it in case of a fall. The answering machine part has nice large buttons and the playback button is obvious, which was great for her. The disadvantage was that if you have a power failure or accidently turn off the power with the top button in the row, you lose the time-set and the answering message you've recorded (there is a default message, though). The handset lights when active, which helps a lot, but it was frequently hard for her to get the dial tone (there is a lag after pushing the button) or to get the phone to activate when she picked it up to take a call (she said she'd "push the button and say hello but it would just keep ringing"). I'm still not sure if this is "just her" or it's the phone. I'm looking for alternatives but for now, it seems the best of the lot for an older person; some of the rest have too many little buttons with tiny print on them.

Summary: Great Price with Advanced Features
Review: This little cordless phone does a great job of taking messages. The 25 Channels help with any static that could be heard on the line. For the money this unit would be hard to beat.
