Summary: great range, good sound
Review: We found that this phone has great range around the house and yard. (The range may be affected by walls made of metal building studs or poured cement walls as in aprtment buildings. This is only a speculation as the phone has worked great in out traditional wooden framed house and 2 acre lot.)
The sound is good when the phone is held over your ear in the right spot. Sound appeared to fade when the phone was "off-center" of ear. Simple, yet fustrating to uninformed.
We have not experienced any recording problems with the answering machine. One must read the instructions to figure out the programing and procedures etc., as with most items. I haven't read them and was able to figure out most of the features, however.
All in all, we are pleased with this Panasonic phone and only wrote this review after reading the other two previous reviews.
Actually, I'm back looking for two more of the same model phones without the answering machine for other places in the house. We are that pleased with the first purchase.
