Review: Im returning the phone. Its possible the city setting has to do with it, but the quality of the reception on this phone is awful. Not only do I get the echo, but I also get static noise at certain places. Ive moved the base and handset around to different positions, but nothing helps much. And now I have to pay for shipping... nothing against amazon, but its probably not a good idea to buy electronics you havent tried out, because you inevitably have to deal with the extra shipping costs and hassle.

Summary: One of the best cordless phones ever owned
Review: The mere concept of a cordless speaker phone is incredible, and who would've thought Sanyo could do it! Anyway, the speakerphone part itself isn't 100% great, but it is very cool to use when on hold or something. Otherwise as a regular phone, the 900mhz DSS was so much better than my 2.4ghz I returned cuz it had such crappy reception. Anyways, this phones got my vote. Had it for over a year and can walk down the block with little breakup.

Review: We bought this phone about a year ago based on the high ratings by Consumer Reports. As they warned, the echo with digital phones took a little while to get used to, but it was an easy sacrifice for the clear reception and security. The speakerphone in the handset is great for when the kids want to talk to grandma and vice-versa. We looked at Uniden and Cobra, but their handsets felt extremely uncomfortable. We're planning on buying a couple of these same phones for Christmas gifts this year.
