Summary: Great phone, but...
Review: Could the color be any uglier? Panasonic, you must stop with this cheesy silver being the only option! It does not look cool or "high tech." It looks spray-painted on and doesn't go with ANY decor. I really like this phone and would purchase in a second if only you offered it in black as well. People, are you with me here? What are they thinking?!

Summary: Great phone /Not so great features
Review: I have had this phone for about a month now.
Pros:
No stactic
Can go to the parking lot w/ no interruptions
Can down load ringtones like cell phone for your ringer.
Easy to use menu
Clear caller ID screen
Speaker phone is clear, callers can't tell that U are
on it.

Cons:
The talking caller Id is horrible. It doesn't pronounce
the names correct.
The names are not announce until after the second ring.
The voice enchancer has an echo

Overall I like the phone. A couple of years ago I had a phone from ameritech that let U record your voice for the voice announcer. That is what panasonic should do with this phone.

Summary: Nice Combo
Review: I purchased this phone to replace a 3-year-old Panasonic Gigahertz DSS Elite phone. The Elite was a great combination of style and useful features. I was looking for a phone without allot of visual gimmicks but had the high-end features I had gotten used to. Enter the TG2336S.

After having this phone a few days I don't really miss the 2 LCD screen Elite it replaced.

PROS:
1. Great Feel - Comfortable to hold and press against the ear.
2. Style - No visual gimmicks. Unlike some of Panasonic's other models this phone is visually lean, yet attractive.
3. Easy To Use Interface.
4. Nice Big Voice Mail (VM) button and indicator!! This was something I had to have. The Elite had an illuminated translucent VM indicator; this model has the next best thing.
5. Sound Quality - It's on par with a 2.4GHZ phone.
6. Convertible Base - The base can be wall mounted OR placed on a flat surface. This may sound not sound like a big deal; however, shop around. The wall mount option is hard to find in a high-end phone.

CONS
1. It's 2.4GHZ instead of the newer, 5.8GHZ
2. Pricey - Seems a little high. You can pick up similar Panasonic units with answerers for only a few dollars more.

SUMMARY
A great phone with hard to find features, including wall mount, VM compatibilty. A final phone to purchase before making the switch to more expensive 5.8GHZ units.

Summary: Great Phone with Great Features
Review: Overall I like this phone. Yes, the talking Caller ID is sometimes difficult to understand but what do you expect for an electronically generated voice. After hearing the pronounciation of my frequent callers a few times, I understand it just fine (and those calls are the only ones I really care to listen out for). I can even stick my head out of the shower and listen and understand the voice announcement. It is the clearest cell phone I have ever owned. No static, no muffled voices, no interference. This is the first time when I talk on the phone and hear interference and I know it is not my phone causing it. I am buying another one for my elderly father for Christmas because he has trouble hearing and will have no problem hearing with this phone. He has a Uniden now and the sound volume is very faint even on the highest volume setting.

I like the speakerphone feature on the handset. I will NEVER buy another phone without it. It comes in handy when I am on hold forever and can put the phone down while I wait and not have to hold it next to my ear. The speaker is also convenient when I have to follow telephone prompts and punch in a bunch of numbers without having to keep putting the phone up to my ear to hear the next prompt.

This phone has the nice message indicator light on the base and the handset. I love that because I can see immediately if I have a message waiting for me.

Oh, I could go on and on about this phone but I tell you it is the best phone I have ever owned. I am struggling to think of anything negative to say about it but I cannot. Yes, it is pricey. The high price caused me to hesitate for about a month before I finally bought one. I put it on my wish list and kept looking around for something cheaper with equivalent features but in the end I had to come back to this phone. But take it from me, it is well worth it.
