Summary: Be forewarned... DOES NOT HAVE BACK LIGHTING FOR CALLER ID!
Review: A decent phone for the price - however it does not have backlighting for the caller ID which I had taken for granted. Actually - too the numbers are hard to read, especially if you look at it from any other angle other than dead on (even then it's not so clear).If you plan on using this phone in a bedroom or room with any limited lighting and caller ID is important to you (I can't imagine why else you'd buy this phone if it wasn't) you will want to take the lack of backlighting into definite consideration.

Review: I GOT THIS TELEPHONE FOR CHRISTMAS 2002. THE SOUND CLARITY IS GREAT BECAUSE I CAN HEAR EVERY WORD A PERSON IS SAYING. THE CALLER ID IS A GREAT FEATURE BECAUSE I CAN SEE WHO'S CALLING BEFORE I ANSWER THE TELEPHONE. THE CALL WATING IS GREAT BECAUSE I CAN CHOOSE TO ANSWER ANOTHER CALL WHEN I'M ALLREDY ON ONE. THE 20 NUMBER MEMORY IS GREAT BECAUSE I CAN EASILY DIAL A NUMBER WHEN WER'E IN A HURRY TO LEAVE. THE LOCATER FEATURE IS GREAT BECAUSE WHEN I LOOSE IT, I CAN LOCATE IT. THE ONLY DIFFACAULTY IV'E HAD IS THE BASE'S ANTENA FELL OFF. THE 900MHZ. RANGE IS GREAT BECAUSE WHEN I'M WORKING OUTSIDE, I CAN STILL ANSWER OR MAKE A CALL. I LOVE THIS TELEPHONE!!!

Review: I love this phone. Because it has a 50 name&number caller id memory,20 number built-in telephone book,caller id,call wating and selectable ringers. My family loves to use it. I have it in my bedroom. I whold love another one! It has great 900 mhz. technoligy and no interference! I got it for christmas one year.

Review: I love this phone... I have the purple version. The caller id is great! This phone is much easier to use than older versions. The manual is easy to follow. Sometimes there is a bit of static but its not too inconvenient. GREAT PHONE! I reccomend the colored ones.(Very retro!!!)

Summary: I guess you get what you pay for
Review: I'm now shopping for a different phone. Lack of backlighting on the caller id box makes it very hard to read caller id. There is consistent background noise while using the phone and the other party sounds like they are down a tunnel and can barely hear me either. The price was great, but the phone simply doesn't meet minimum standards.

Summary: Caller ID doesn't work in my country
Review: The caller ID doesn't fit the my country's system and Vtech doesn't expose theirs. Besides it has a continuous noise during normal local calls.

Summary: all the right features; but the LCD screen is too small
Review: This is a great phone for the price!! It has great features and reception and does everything you'll need it to do. We have 2 other VTech phones in our house and we love all of them. I recommend their products to friends and family now all the time. The only problem with this phone is that the LCD display is quite small and hard to read in some light conditions. We have a wireless computer network in our house (hooked up to our cable modem); absolutely fabulous! We use the (older) 900 mhz phones instead of the (newer, more powerful) 2.4 ghz phones because the 2.4 ghz phones operate on the same frequency as the wireless router. We appreciate that VTech offers the same excellent features with their 900 mhz phones as the they do with their more cutting-edge 2.4 ghz.
