Summary: too many problems
Review: I bought my SW Bell FF908 about two years ago. After owning it for 10 months it failed for no apparent reason. I sent it to Conair (the manufacturer) for waranty repair. They sent it back with a fresh battery but still nonfunctional. (I guess they don't read the problem description if the battery is old). After I returned it again they sent me a replacement phone that worked fairly well for a year.

When the battery wore out recently I looked in every store in town that carries cordless phone batteries but couldn't find a compatable battery so I ordered a replacement battery from Conair. I unquestionably gave them the correct model number for the phone but they sent the wrong battery. When I called to request the correct battery, their computers were down and they told me to call back another day. I called back a couple days later and finally got them to send the correct battery. Now that I have a working battery again I have discovered that the phone doesn't dial correctly. Most of the time I get silence or a "wrong number" recording when I use the FF908 to dial. The keys must be worn out.

I suggest trying another brand if you are looking for an inexpensive cordless phone that will last (but not GE/Thomson: their low-end 900Mhz phone has awful audio quality and range)

Summary: Everything I've Ever Wanted in a Cordless Phone
Review: I have no technical aptitude and no patience reading instructional manuals. Nevertheless, I was able to set up this phone. What's more, it's sturdy (I've had it for six months or so with no problems), attractive (in a form follows function sort of way) and gets clear sound from every room of my spacious (by New York City standards) one-bedroom apartment.

Summary: Static on line
Review: I purchased the white version of this phone when it was on sale for $15.00 at amazon.com and the reviews were good. Unfortunately the phone has static on it when in use. Changing the channel or anything else doesn't help. I guess I'll have to send it back because it is basically unusable. None of the other reviews had mentioned this problem, so maybe it is a manufacturing defect rather than a design problem.

Summary: best cordless phone i have ever used!
Review: this is a really simple phone. you can store memory numbers and it has lots of other buttons. it's really easy to set up because it has step-by-step instructions. after you dial the number it has a little pause, but that's because it's looking for the clearest channel for your conversation. i haven't used it for very long, a few days maybe, but the reception isn't the clearest i have ever heard, but the good thing about that is that you can manually change reception channels to find the best one yourself. you can page people with it, too. my other cordless phone (before it broke) was never clear, and i had to recharge it every five minutes. this is a big change, and i'm glad i got it. i really really really recommend it!

Summary: Excellent cordless phone
Review: We have used this phone nearly 1 year. The reception is always clear, indoors and out. Talk time is surprisingly long, my teenager talks literally for hours without recharging. It is a great value, simple to program and use. The handset takes lots of physical abuse without cracking or malfunctioning. Highly recommended.
