Summary: Save Your Money
Review: Don't buy this Phone. It lasted only one year when the handset went dead. I took it to a authorized Panasonic dealer who said they could not repair it. I promised no more Panasonic phones for me. Think about that before you buy a phone from Panasonic . If you only need a phone for two months and money to throw away, be my guest.

Summary: Great Features, terrible battery problem
Review: I own, and have owned, Panasonic corded(this is the have owned part) and cordless phones. I have always had good experiences with them. When I upgraded, I loved all the features of the GigaRange KX-TG2650N. That was until I found I only got about 15 mins. of talk time(using it within 25 feet of the base station). I would not reccomend this phone until they fix the battery problem.

Review: I totally agree with the previous reviewer's comments - i, too, have had a full battery run out in about three minutes during a call. Equally as bad is the noise - it reminds me of early cell phones. the specs on the box look great, but this phone really disappoints.

Summary: Panasonic KX-TG2650CN
Review: I've only had the Elite for about 2 weeks,and have used it for up to 1HR15Min on a long distance call and still had lots of battery life left,I'm in Canada and don't know if our KX-TG2650CN is any different. The only difference in the No is CN which the C is for Canada. So far I love the Phone but will keep a close watch on it for problems.

Summary: Great phone. What's the beef?
Review: In reading the reviews on this phone, I couldn't help noticing that the bad reviews came in the middle of 2001, and the sole good review came at the end of 2001. I bought this phone at the end of last year as well, and I have had absolutely no problems with it. I leave the handset in the base all the time; I've taken it out, had one-hour-plus conversations on it, walked about 100ft from the base around building without losing signal, etc. In short, I've had none of the problems associated with this phone. I'm guessing, but my sense of this is that maybe the phone's charging/battery system HAD a problem that was fixed on later models, starting with at least the end of 2001. You'll notice that even some of the bad reviews the buyers comment on the rich feature set, the cool looks, etc. All true. This really is an amazing phone. The only reason I can't give the phone 5 stars is that programming the extra functions of the phone is a bit of a pain, counterintuitive, and you must have the manual handy to do it. However, for normal day-to-day use, it's a piece of cake. PROS: Overwhelming feature set, cool looks, TWO (!) speakerphones, audio quality in base, range, small but comfortable handset CONS: Difficulty in programming advanced functions; for some, small size of handset may be a negative (it's the size of a cell phone, and is hard to cradle with your neck if your hands are free; however, this is also one reason Panasonic built the second speakerphone into the handset -- PUT THE...HANDSET DOWN AND TURN ON ITS SPEAKERPHONE!! DUH!!) :-) Four stars, richly deserved. ...it's a good deal.

Review: Let me just add to the other reviews that, yes, really, the battery will run low after using it as little as five minutes. That is just an idiodic design flaw. This is truly the worst cordless phone I have ever used. DO NOT BUY IT!

Summary: Serious design flaws
Review: The technical specification was very appealing, the features hilighted on the box promised to meet my needs - It could be wall mounted, uses digital technology, Not 900 MHz, Had more than 10 memory's, the handset standby time was adequate. But after less than two months we're writing this device off!!!! Why? Well, we need to phone home - For us, that's not in the US, so it's an International call . Our long distance provider supplies a 1-800 number and a password - Not an unusual scenario in the States? We can't use this phone to do that! The memory size is restricted to 22 characters, not enough to hold the whole number... No calling card feature, Once you've initiated a call with a memory, the other memories are disabled, the voice mail button didn't help. We contacted the Panasonic customer support, but they were unable to make any suggestions. The solution - Go to Radio Shack and purchase an automatic phone dialer. The next problem is an annoying buzzing noise on the signal, even though we're only 10 feet from the base unit. Then... The handset battery fails. We charge it up overnight - only to have it totally discharge within 3 minutes - disconnecting my call with no warning - Will I ever get to speak to my mom again??? We contacted Panasonic, asking for a replacement battery - After all it's only 6 weeks since we purchased the unit- Answer? We need to call them (HOW???) to arrange to return the entire unit. The alternative is to buy one - But they're not available in the local stores, or on the web - Out of stock! - Maybe the 1500 mAh battery is pushing the technology a little? These are all factual problems, a little more subjective is the user interface, which I characterise as diffcult. Perhaps if I'd had a chance to use it more, I would have been familiar with it by now. Summary: Panasonic - Please train your sales, marketing and design engineers in the art of identifying CUSTOMER (as well as technology) requirements! PS - Amazon, Please add a zero stars rating so I can effectively rate the most disappointing product I've ever used in my life.

Summary: No Problems for 2 years with this phone
Review: This is by far the best phone system I've ever owned. Our family uses it constantly and the battery stays charged much longer than other cordless phones we've owned (and they've come and gone). The caller ID functions well, the range is excellent, and the handset speakerphone is really excellent. The person on the other end is not even aware that you're not holding the phone to your ear. This phone system design should be retained by the manufacturer and not messed up by changing it much at all. My only complaint is that the add-on handsets are nowhere to be found!
