Description:

The Southwestern Bell FF915 cordless Freedom Phone combines 900 MHz analog technology with 40-channel autoscan, resulting in a clearer signal and greater mobility than cordless phones that use older, lower-frequency technology. Plus, it's easy to use, as the compact handset fits comfortably in your hand and operates all the key functions.

The phone's memory dialing can store up to 20 phone numbers, each with up to 16 digits. If you misplace the handset, just press the page button on the base, and the handset will ring. The phone also features one-touch redial and a flash function that opens a clear line, activates your Call Waiting, or permits three-way calling.

The FF915 features security protections to help preserve your privacy. The AutoSecurer feature electronically locks your phone when it's in the base. The phone also randomly selects one of 65,000 security codes to help reduce the chance of your call being overheard by a phone on another line, or of your phone line being usurped by another cordless phone.

A Caller ID display in the phone's base stores a log containing up to 99 calls, along with the phone number, name, date, and time of each call. You can redial numbers stored in the Caller ID log by pressing a couple of buttons, which makes returning your important calls nearly effortless. The FF915B also features three-language operation, so you can view Caller ID data in English, French, or Spanish. (Caller ID and Call Waiting are special services that you must purchase from your local telephone company.) The battery can be charged when the phone faces either up or down in the base.

This phone offers excellent sound quality and is easy to program. Its 900 MHz technology provides enhanced clarity, so your conversations will be static-free up to about 70 feet from the base. --Megan Dugan
