Summary: Best 2-line cordless available today
Review: After much research I first bought the VTech 2910 locally. Experienced frequent drops signals 60 - 70 feet from the base (indoors). Bought the Uniden 9660 and now I can go at least 200 - 250 feet from the base (indoors - outside) with little 'clicking' and no dropped signals. BIG difference and well worth the extra $. The Amazon price was also the best price that I found. Handset is comfortable and it contains all the practical features that I need.

Summary: Very frustrating experience!
Review: Couldn't get caller ID to work. Had several other people go over the instruction manual and nobody could make it work. (yes, I already pay for the caller ID service.) Tried to call Uniden for customer service-- "At Uniden, we'll take care of you!" is their motto. HA! I got a busy signal for days, and on the 3rd day, was put on hold for 10 minutes while recordings told me I was number 5 in the queue, number 4, number 3, until number 2 at which point they told me they were too busy and I should try again later. FORGET IT. DON'T BUY this phone; don't put yourself through the frustration.

Review: I am very happy with the Uniden EXS9660 phone. The reception is very clear and the range is excellent. It is easy to use and I like that it has a compartment for an extra battery and that it accomodates a headset. (I bought the $10 AT&T headset recommended by an Amazon customer and am very happy with it as well.)

Review: I bought 2 of these phones. They both work extremely well. The range and clarity is unbelieveable. The speaker phone is great too. I also use both phones simultaneously and have had no problems with static, etc. And the caller ID has worked flawlessly as well.If you want a portable 2 line phone with DSS, Caller ID and a speaker phone - this is the one. I agree with the other writer, the guy who said he bought his phone 8 months ago didn't get this brand new model. Must of been another phone.

Summary: The Best phone I have ever owned.
Review: I have had so many portable phones in in the past four years and they are all inferior to my two-line Uniden. Their are four portable phones in my house and the Uniden is the best. The others (Sony, V-tech, and Panasonic) are all OK. My Uniden goes across the street into the neighbors house without any static. In addition, it has a very long battery life and can stay off the charger for a very long time. I won't buy anything else from now on.

Summary: Value for the Money But Not Worth It Over Time
Review: I've had two of these Uniden two-line phones, and regret the day I bought them both. The Uniden line seems always to offer the same features as other more-name brands (Sony, Panasonic), for about 25% less. Yet, they also always seem truly inferior. After putting up with one of these two-line phones for 8 months (don't even think about getting service!!), I went out and bought a Panasonic two-line cordless this week. Using the phones side-by-side every caller could hear a major improvement when I switched to the Panasonic (which is much lighter and sounds much better to me as well). So, in summary, when looking at a Uniden cordless phone, I recommend you don't try to save money and buy a Sony or Panasonic the first time.

Review: The Uniden Phone works excellent, gets outstanding reception even out to the mail box, two blocks away. The Amazon price gives only average value, and that's at a discount. You do get quality but you pay for it. The caller ID and the other features are great and work well.

Review: This is a great phone with great features: It is a two line phone, with an easy way to switch between lines, put one on hold, and even connect the two. If you have call waiting on each line you could connect up to 4 callers. Caller ID is real handy. The visual display makes it easy to see who is calling or called (even if you don't answer the phone) the numbers stay in memory and you can transfer the number of somone who calls to your list of names and numbers in memory if you want. The phone can charge facing toward or away from you on the base. The base acts as a speaker phone. It has clear reception over a good distance the the 2.4 gig spread spectrum means your calls won't be intercepted by someone with a scanner. I have two of these phones and they don't interfere with each other. The battery charging system is great since there is a room to put a battery in the base as well as in the phone, so if the battery runs low while you are on the phone, just exchange the battery from the base with the one in the phone and you are back in business with a fully charged battery. The phone beeps a warning when the battery is getting low and you can excuse yourself from your caller for a minute when that happens to change the battery. The battery charge lasts a long time so this is n't likely to happen unless you keep the phone uncharged for a long time (which I do to extend batttery life) There is an intercom feature that makes it easy to find the handset if you misplace it by hitting intercom on the base unit and it will ring on the handset--so you can find the phone. The screen in the handset makes it easy to set up the phone for frequently called numbers and to scan thru your list. There is a jack for a handsfree headset, and a clip you can use to put the phone on your belt or shirt pocket for hands free operation. The base can function on top of a desk or table or be installed
on a wall. In short this phone has all the features you might want for a home office, and is reliable to boot. I love this phone so much I take it with me whenever I travel. You won't go wrong buying one--or even like me-- two of them.
