Summary: Ingeniously designed, simple to set up and use
Review: A great design for hands-free talking, with no wires to snag as you walk about. It's easy to set up and program. The headset fits both my 7-year-old's head and my own XXL noggin. The volume control on the headset accommodates those of us who like it loud. The dialing card, which operates much like a TV remote, allows for convenient dialing without taking off the headset. The headset battery is charged by induction; this means that there are no contacts to line up, and you don't have to worry about setting it down just right. A handy feature is the intercom between the base unit and the headset. The little details have been thought of -- like putting a little knob on the "volume up" button to make it readily recognizable by feel. Truly a product designed with the customer's happiness in mind.

(A stark contrast would be the two AT&T/Lucent phones we owned before. The first stopped working after two years. The second never worked to begin with; we never got so much as a dial tone. Getting your average HMO to approve out-of-plan surgery is child's play compared to the challenge of getting AT&T/Lucent to replace a defective phone. We finally just trashed the newly bought bum AT&T/Lucent phone and bought the one from VTech instead.)

Summary: A great Wireless headset
Review: After trying numerous headset solutions for phone conferences, I have found this headset to be the best wireless solution available for the money.

There are virtually no drawback to this phone; very comfortable, good sound, solid battery life, easy to recharge.

If you do conference calls or need your hand free while on the phone, this is a perfect solution, particularly true when you consider you get a corded handset (that also charges a battery backup for the headset).

A great product and wirless solution...I highly reccommend it.

Summary: THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD !
Review: First I must say that I can't understand why they stopped making this phone. This is such a unique product. I am dismayed that it has been discontinued.

I bought my first one on Ebay after having great hearing difficulties. My medical problem actually (at times) distorts sounds on a regular telephone handset... to the point where all I can hear is a vibration but not able to distinguish what the caller is saying.

That medical condition is what prompted me to search for some kind of phone that had dual earpieces and wouldn't distort the voices on the other end.

I took my chances and purchased the Vtech 1511. It actually has been a LIFESAVER for me because I NEED to be able to talk on the phone quite a bit during the course of running my home-based business.

I LOVE THIS PHONE.

When mine broke / wore out I called Vtech to find out about servicing it and I was told they no longer did since it had been discontinued. I was FRANTIC.

I found another on Ebay and purchased it and was off an running.

Recently I came across one on Ebay and bought it just to put it in the cupboard for when and if I need this phone again someday.

I think I could not live without this product... and I RARELY say that about anything.

It is crystal clear... gives you total freedom... and the fact that the ear pieces don't actually sit "on" your ears was just exactly the type of hearing device I needed.

Like I said.... the BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!

Summary: A winner that's ahead of the curve!
Review: Great product! Finally a cordless headset with dialing functionality. A steal for the price.... Bonus is corded handset for the desk. Headset connection is crystal clear. For the next version of this product, I'd like an adjustable microphone "arm" (could be just a tad longer), and a way to boost the microphone volume.

Summary: Couldnt believe how great this phone is!
Review: I am a new mother and wanted to find a phone that didnt have a dial pad that I had to clip to my pants. I found those to be extremely cumbersome. Anyway, I found this phone and brought it home. I normally reseach all electronics on the internet before buying it..so I decided to check it out before I unpacked it. The reviews were dismal! I knew that we would end up taking the phone back..but to my surprise it has been working fine. I love this phone. Every mother should have one!!!

Summary: A lifesaver for people with difficulity holding a phone
Review: I am not easily impressed by most things. I am impressed with this phone! After reading some of the reviews, I expected an "OK" piece of equipment--well was I happily suprised! I find it to be well constructed, easy to use, and extremly comfortable to wear. I have severe nerve damage in both my arms-so a hands free phone is a must if I am to communicate on the telephone.

I have, in the past, purchased and used many other "hands free" phones-none of which come close to the functionality of this one. The others-AT&T, Lucent, Bell etc... all required a corded "dial pack" that attached to the headset itself. None of them came close to the sound quality-and most were non functional within a year or less (even with the batteries replaced)-and for the price they cost- that was unacceptable. I also found most of them to be poorly constructed and cumbersome to use.

I find the sound quality to be excellent-in fact the microphone is so sensitive I have to move it away a bit to keep from speaking too loudly. I make a lot of international calls and have found the sound quality is superb- better even, in most cases, than a "conventional" phone. When I am using this phone--no one complains that they can not hear me or that I sound like I am "speaking in a tin can".

Having the 2 ear speakers is a real plus as it equalises the sound nicely and is much more comfortable than having them sit directly on my ears. It did take some adjusting to wearing, as it is so different from the other types, but once adjusted to my head--it is wonderful.

The only additions/alterations I would like to see are-- a rechargable battery pack, some way to individually adjust each ear phone for a more custom fit, and a volume control just for the ear phones--I have found that sometimes I have difficulity hearing the person speaking and would like to be able to increase the volume without increasing my output sound.

All in all this is without question the best hands free phone I have used. At present I can not see ever changing to another one after experiencing the ease and quality of this model.

Summary: Not as heavy or complicated as it looks!
Review: I bought this phone for my grandmother, who is in a wheelchair. She has a cordless headset that has a cord that connects the earpiece to the dialing piece. She keeps getting the cord caught in her wheels... so I decided to try this one. I connected it at home to test it out, but now I'm going to have to get her a new one... this one is mine! Features I love: it's very lightweight, the infrared dialing pad works great, you can put the charger anywhere in the house and put the desk phone somewhere else, using "flash" for call waiting is as easy as flipping the microphone up and back down. The sound is excellent and there is no interference. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it out.
