Summary: Looks great, poor performance.
Review: My first 2.4Ghz phone experience and I was disappointed. The phone looks great but the speaker muffles the messages when playing back. Playback of the msg's are slow too. You have to make sure you get the phone just right in the cradle too or the leads don't make contact and it won't recharge. Reception was fine most of the time but every one in awhile it will cut in and out for the person on the other in like you're driving in and out of dead spots on a cell phone. Not recommended. I'm getting rid of it and getting something else.

Summary: Poor performance
Review: I bought this phone because I liked the list of features and possibilities for expansion. The phone, however, fails to deliver on the basic performance expected of a cordless phone. The handset has very limited range and at times can even break into static within 10 feet of the base. I often have to switch to a different phone to finish my converstation. The answering machine is also very weak. For some unexplainable reason it likes to cut people off in the middle of thier message leaving me clueless as to what they wanted. From my experience with this product I do not intend to purchase any more Siemens products.

Summary: Great design, poor implementation Would rate a 0
Review: if I could. Loved the design and feel of this product but was very disappointed in its performance. After trying with two different 2415 units, I abandoned this product and switched to another vendor. The lack of mute button was annoying but livable as was the non-intutive menu system. I could NOT live with unreliable caller id displays. The phone frequently displayed "unavailable" even though my other telephones on the same line were displaying the callerid correctly. Siemens technical support was unable to correct even after a "factory reset" and I've now returned the phone (again) and purchased another vendor's model. Spending ANY amount of money for a phone with unreliable callerid is ridiculous.

Summary: Nice concept, poor quality
Review: Siemens had a good concept with the 2415, but the audio quality is poor. The hissing/buzzing sound was very irratable and could not be eliminated, regardless of how many times the phone was deregistered or unplugged.

No indication on the base station of the number of messages was a minor inconvenience. Don't try to prop the phone between your ear and shoulder unless you have a massage therapist on retainer.

Battery life is no where near the specifications. Although the idea of being able to replace the batteries with standard rechargeables is attractive, having only two AAs for power is probably the reason by the talktime is limited (most other cordless have three custom batteries).

Overall, I would stay away from this phone; I replaced it with the Panasonic 2570B; so far so good.

Summary: Nice features but very poor sound quality
Review: I really wanted to like this phone. I liked the features, the simple looks, etc. But the sound quality was terrible. A constant hiss on all phone calls and almost unintelligible recordings of incoming calls. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Summary: Too much background noise and static
Review: Purchased this phone because of the multiple handset phones available, the handset was bigger than the others. Prime concern in a cordless for me is the clarity of the sound. This phone had very noticable background noise and occasional static. I found it hard to use for these reasons. Took it back and got a second but, it was just as bad. My old Ameritech 900Mhz Digital had no static at all. Wouldn't recommend this phone if background noise and static are a concern for you.

Summary: High Tech phone with no Mute feature
Review: Unbelievable!! This phone packed with a lot of features, expect for MUTE...... It may not be that important for some people, but it is a different story for someone who works at home. I'm sorry to give it two stars, but it seems to me that the designers made a very bad call here since this phone would make a perfect small/home office phone solution. I'm taking it back........

Summary: Everything I've always wanted in a cordless!
Review: Honestly, after reading the reviews of this phone on here, I was totally afraid to purchase this phone because some people spoke badly of it. Yet other people said this was the best phone they've ever bought. So, just to be safe, I bought it from a local store (Office Depot) so that I could easily return it if not satisfied. I'm happy to say that I won't be standing in Office Depot's return line! This phone is INCREDIBLE! .... In a nutshell, all Siemens phones are the same, they all use the same handsets, the buttons are all the same, and everything is interchangable. The main difference is that each phone has a different set of features to distinguish it from the other models. To tell you the truth, if I knew that Siemens phones were this good, I would have gone for the really fancy [price] one! I mainly got this one for its good price, so that I could try out the Siemens brand without breaking the bank. (Besides, my old Panasonic answering machine from the 1980's could use a replacement, BAD!) One of the biggest complaints I see from people is that they say these Siemens phones are hard to use. Granted, they're not your typical phone, where you pick up the line and dial a number, then hang up when done. But are they overly complex? Far from it. Basically, what Siemens' aim seems to be, is to make a cordless phone behave more like a cell phone. A lot of the phone's functions are accessed through a set of menus on the phone. Anybody who has used a Nokia cell phone would have absolutely no problem with these Siemens phones, and would in fact probably feel right at home. (Sorry, the Siemens phones don't have a snake game built in!) :) Another complaint I've heard is that people say these phones are noisy. There may be a little bit, it sounds kind of "digital" but it's really not that bad, it's a lot better than those dang Vtech phones that cut out and crackle all the time. To sum it up, I love this phone, and my next cordless will be another Siemens! .... :)

Summary: Very Nice System... So Far!
Review: I was a bit concerned when I ordered this system after seeing the mixed reviews on this site. I'm glad I ordered it because it has been a great phone so far. Very easy to use. Lots of great features to play with.

My only regret is that this cannot support more than one phone line. We have three in the house and if the phone could support just one more line it would be perfect. I could have purchased a more expensive model but the price on this one was a great deal!

The system is nice and compact even with the answering machine built in. I would recommend this system!

Summary: My two cents ...
Review: I've had my Siemens Gigaset system for over a month, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I was initially attracted to the simple design of the unit, which, unlike many competing telephones, didn't "scream" for attention with neon colors, fake metallic trim, or buttons that are too numerous to count. However, it's the user-friendly features that have really sold me on this phone.

The caller ID log lets the user easily transfer selected telephone numbers to a directory. New entries in the directory are automatically stored in alphabetical order, making them easy to access for speed dialing in the future. And the clarity of calls and messages is at least as good as I had hoped.

Perhaps some folks who reported negative experiences have gotten units that were "lemons", but my experience with this phone has been uniformly positive.
