Summary: Loved it, Bought another.
Review: This is one of the best cordless phones out there at any price. I have owned dozens over the years. This is such a good phone, with so many useful features, I just bought a second one. One on the main floor, one on the second floor.

Summary: Constant Hum; Use in Field
Review: This phone is excellent in every way except two:1: The Large Talk button will hang you up if you hold the phone with your shoulder. 2: Beyond 20 ft. in my house, the phone conversation is accompanied by a constant hum (a B note, in fact) that rarely diminishes. The manual tells you not to put it near computers, etc, so I put it in a huge room with barely nothing in it, and the hum persisted. I called the free tech support line(nice feature), and, after about a 3 days of trying to get a real person, they proceeded to tell me the exact same thing: "Do not use this product near computers, in the kitchen, or furthermore, near ANYTHING moderately electrical in nature. Make sure that you live 20 miles away from a city, and use a portable gas generator to power your phone in a large, barren field." Of course, I'm paraphrasing a bit, but that's how I feel, and if I can, I'll return this phone promptly.

Review: Uniden overall makes fine phones..........just not this model. I get alot of static in the phone. It's like my cell phone, I have to keep turning my head to get clear reception. SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE GET SOMETHING ELSE.

Review: We live on the Georgia Coast on a deep-water river. I can walk to the end our 570 foot long dock without any static or any other signal degradation! The base is housed indoors in our entertainment cabinet below 4 other electrical components - an additional 70 feet from the beginning of the dock.

Summary: Great Phone!
Review: When my last phone died, I decided to do some research and get the best possible phone in my price range. Consumer Reports recommended the Uniden 9600. After reviewing customer comments, I bought it. Its great. The handset is light and comfortable and I love the 20 number memory feature, crystal clear sound and caller ID. I'm happy with my decision. If your looking for a great phone, go for this one. You won't regret it.

Review: When we purchased this phone it worked great for the first six months. Now the base unit will not charge the battery (or the replacement battery). If you unplug the unit, then plug it in again - it will charge for a couple of seconds and then stop. This phone is a complete joke. I have the backup puck for anyone who was interested. I will never buy another Uniden phone!!!!!!!
