Summary: I love this Phone!!!
Review: It looks nice, sounds great and does not interfere with my home computer wireless network. The best part about it is that you get two handsets for a very low price. One of the handsets gets plugged into the phone line, and the other one just gets plugged into an electrical outlet. Therefore, the second handset can be used in a room that does not have a phone jack. I had a more expensive Panasonic phone that recently broke and at first, I was hesitant about buying this phone because of the low price. However, this phone ended up being much better than my more expensive Panasonic. You will be very happy with this phone.

Summary: GREAT!!!
Review: My sister and I purchased this phone through Amazon for our 78-year-old mother because the batteries on her old cordless phone were dead and she couldn't find the model numbers, etc., to replace them. Mom is thrilled! We didn't even realize that the headsets had belt clips and speaker phone capabilities, but these are her favorite features. She says the phone is light, cute, and clear as a bell even when she wears it outside. Great purchase!!

Summary: "OK" Phone
Review: Overall, these are good phones but I do have two complaints. First of all, just like all of the other phones, if you have the volume up to loud you can hear yourself talking. It reminds of cell phones when they cant get good reception. The next problem is when the speakerphone is on sometimes when you talk it turns off the speaker until your done talking. Like the speakerphone and the microphone dont stay on at the same time its alternates to whoever is speaking. Other than those two things the phones are awesome! The intercom feature is great and you can get great range on these phones. Another cool thing I figured out is the when you create a phone directory on one of the phones, it automatically adds it to the other phone. In other words, what is put on one phone is also placed on the other.

Summary: Doesn't hold a charge
Review: Phone doesn't hold a charge more than a few hours. Not sure who thought to make the phone beep (loudly) when the battery is low, but this phone has woken me up three nights this week. Don't waste your money.

Summary: Handset sometimes stops responding
Review: The handset sometimes stops responding and I have to put in cradle and then remove in order to answer the phone. Other than that, the features in this phone are great. You can have all of the cool features in the world but if the basic phone operation fails, they are all for nothing.

Summary: Complete features but "cheap"
Review: There are few phones on the market that have the same features as theise phones. There's caller ID and a headset adapter (headset not included). There's a digital display of the number you last dialed. There's a timer that keeps track of how long you've been talking. There's a speakerphone on both phones, as well as a phonebook. You can even use the phones as an intercom. The charging stations on both phones require very little counter space. The master base station even has a "new voice mail" indicator light that works with the phone company's voice mail system. Other manufacturers sell similar features for 2 to 3 times the price, and few products are as complete as these phones.

Now the bad stuff. The body of the phones is made of low-quality plastic. They are cheap. If you leave the handsets in their rechargers for too long, they become uncomfortably warm. The phones are half-duplex meaning you can't hear yourself talk (even without the speakerphone). You can't tell the difference between talking "live", or whether you haven't turned on the phone yet (when moving from one handset to the other), or whether you're on mute. That is, unless the person on the other end of the phone clues you in. This will be confusing for a while.

For the price, these phones are definitely worth the money. It is very difficult to find other manufacturers with the same number of features, especially online.

Summary: Not the clearest phone
Review: There is some static with one of the 2 phones that I have. You cant edit a number unless you delete all the way back to where you need to change a number. You can edit a name with no problem. If you receive a call from caller ID that is long distance you cant put a 1 in front of the area code in order to call it back easily. I periodically get searching on both handsets and have to unplug the base from the wall to get it to work again. I got the phones at wal-mart for $17.97 because of a pricing error, if I had payed 50-60 for these phones it would not have been worth it.

Summary: GREAT Phone but...........
Review: This is a very nice phone. The intercom system is great. I live with my mom who is ailing and the intercom is a great way to keep in touch with her when she goes to bed. And the intercom really works, very clear. You can make the intercom ringer sound different then the incoming call ringer. So it is not a guessing game if it is the intercom or a phone call. Someone stated they could not tell one phone from the other. Well these phones allow you to give each headset a name. WHich is always on the LCD screen. So that should be no problem. So all and all it is a good solid phone. NOW FOR THE BIG PROBLEM. This phone would of gotten a 5 if it wasn't for one thing. If you get a call and try to call it back from the CID YOU CANNOT DO IT if you live in a area in which the number 1 is in front of the area code. I had a old Hello Kitty(GE) phone that if you pushed the format button the 1 popped up and you could redial the number. WHY a high tech company like V tech will not allow you to even push a button or add 1 you so you can redial a CID only God Knows. Ditto for adding the CID number to your phonebook. You have to manually add the number to be able to enter it so it will dial out. So that convience doesn't exist. Most numbers have that 1 in front of them now. I have to use a area code to dial into the next county some cities have to dial the area code to call a person around the block. Someone also stated that they heard you can push the # button to add the one. No you cannot push the # button it will not work. Yes it adds a 1 but not to the area code. Why did V-tech allow that glitch to happen and put the phone on the market? I called V tech up and woman who answered the phone KNEW exactly what I was talking about before I could say it. She said the only V TecH phone that allows to redial with the 1 is the 9162 model ( older ugly 29.00 phone go to their website)). I had to edit this review because someone who read my review said that you have to push the # button a few times and it will work. I want to thank this person for knowing more then the V Tech Tech. I am changing my stars to 4 not 5 because V Tech had not a clue about the solution even after I bought the # button being used as a solution. Who in the world would think they would have to push a button 3 times before the 1 is in front of the area code. And secondly why wasn't this in the manuel?
