Summary: IBM Cordless Headset
Review: I purchased this product 6 months ago. It's great for mom's with kids at home that need to have their hands free. I have found several problems with my headset. I find that the volume on the headset does not get louder. Wheel just keeps on turning. I find that when I turn microwave on I get really bad static, as well as when my neighbor uses her microwave and I'm on the phone I get the same static our houses are about 100 yards apart from each other. I also get clicking in the headset as well. I change channels but doesn't seem to help much. I don't know if anyone else has this problem. I've exchanged my headset and phone has the same problems. I'm looking for another manufacture that carries this same design, but have had no luck yet. It's a great phone to have if headset didn't have so many little problems.

Summary: Not worth it
Review: I spent a lot of money on this phone and expected it to work well, at this point I would even settle for decent. The box claims "Superior Clarity, Extended Range..." No... I don't think so. I hear a lot of static about 50% of the time, and the range does not even cover my home about 2,000 sf. I would feel better about the purchase if I did not spend so much. I should have waited for the technology to evolve a little. The head set is comfortable and lightweight, I will give it that. I would say if the phone is about $[$$] it would be worth it because it is convenient to be completely hands free when you can hear your caller. I want to love the phone but I can't say that I do.

Summary: So far, so good
Review: I've had it for 4 months, works very well so far. The headset is light but it takes a little getting used to how it sits on your head. After a few weeks, hardly notice you have it on. Reception is good but occastionally static, I've learned a trick which is to gently pull the earpiece away from your head and back. This clears the static. It's a unique phone, nothing else like it on the market for this price range. I'd recommend it if you really need hands-free capabilities. Friends and family love it - I'm buying 3 more as Christmas gifts.

Summary: Good design, but volume is not loud enough
Review: Just got the phone yesterday and could not wait to try it out. So, after charging enough battery, I have to put it into testing. The design and features of the phone are awesome. The headset is quite comfortable as well. The only down side is the volume is not loud enough. My friends said they cannot hear me that clear and loud neither. Wonder what the problem is. I read a previous review to indicate that hers is very clear and loud. Do you think I need to exchange?

Review: Looks like the majority of people have had a similar experience (aside from a couple lucky folks). GREAT idea! But...First one had such low volume that I couldn't use it. I exchanged it but had an impossible time installing the battery in that one. The 3rd one worked well... for awhile. Then it started dying after just a couple minutes. The company sent me a new battery and it worked like a charm... for awhile. By the time it was a few months old, with a new battery, the static creeped in (just like most other reviewers mentioned). Initially, if I turned the headset slightly it went away. Soon I found the only thing that would help was holding the earpiece hard against my head (uncomfortable and kinda defeats the purpose). Now, nothing I do helps and I'm reduced to using the speakerphone only. When it worked, it was fantastic. WHEN it worked. Judging from the reviews, looks like you have about a 1 out of 10 chance of ending up with a decent phone. That may just mean those with a good experience haven't had the phone long enough for problems to start.

Summary: Headset has issues with age
Review: The headset has degraded into static almost all the time with age, it has design issues IMHO. Neat idea, poor quality. I think it has to do with the connectins inside the phone, but there is no easy way to open it and check. Static clears on occasion, but it is definitely mechanical as twisting the headset seems to clear it for a time.

Review: This phone has brought a new dimension to my life! I can do anything while using this phone i.e. cook, clean etc. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who has a neck problem...mine has improved immensely. A terrific product, worth every penny. I have just purchased my second one!
