Summary: Rate 5* among cordless headset phones
Review: Hello,
Here is the answer to your concerns. You can dial from the base and then press intercom button , this way you dont have to remove the headset and dial from the headset. Detail instructions are given in the manual. Maybe you have a defective battery so its getting discharged. I have been using this phone for over an year and I am very happy. Just bought a 2nd one for myself to use it at my business place too. A GREAT CONVENIENT PHONE

Summary: One more great feature
Review: I agree to all what lynn says and there is more to it. You dont have to remove the head set off your head to dial another number. you can dial it on the keypad and then transfer to the headset by hitting the intercom button. I learned it the hardway

everything else is great about this phone.

Summary: I won't talk on ANYthing else!
Review: I have been talking on a phone of this design for 3 years now...the first one was broken by a guest sitting on it. I bought this one to replace it at once!
I refuse to talk on anything else after being spoiled by this phone. Yes, they are a little funny looking, but once you get hooked, an old handset(even a cordless one) seems like a punishment when you have to talk on it an HOLD it up to your ear. I don't have to stop my day because Aunt Chatty wants to talk for two hours and I don't end up with neck cramps trying to hold a handset with my shoulder. I can cook, do laundry, change a diaper or work on the computer because both of my hands are free and Useable. And, yes I have tried the "headset jack" phones and Hate them. I am too active and the cord gets tangled on stuff or the phonepack falls out or unclips and rips it off my ear.
I don't mind taking the phone off my head to dial and have learned where the buttons are to the point that I rarely have to anyway.
This is the best phone in the world...the only thing that would improve it is if it also had caller ID and a little robot to bring it to you when it rings!

Summary: The Only REAL Headset Telephone
Review: I have owned one of those "headset telephones" that is only named so because there is a small wire that connects a phone to the headset. Might as well just buy a cordless phone and get a headset. I always hated it when that little cord would get caught on something and be ripped violently off my head as I walked around. Also, for those of you with grabby babies, the not-so-cordless headsets aren't the best ideas. The IBM 900FADS, on the other hand is simply wonderful. I have had no problems and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Review: I originally wrote a review on this product which I bought from deals789. That review was not very positive. After communication with the merchant and much energy applied to satisfy the situation on their end I am very happy with the solution to the problems that I was having. They handled the situation in a very professional mannor and worked with me diligently to get the problems resolved. I highly recommend this merchant and can say first hand that if there is a problem with the equipment that this merchant will go out of their way to rectify the situation and make you satisfied. I thank them again for the way they handled my problem.

Summary: This useful niche product is being underrated
Review: I was rather surprised by the negative reviews of this product by Amazon itself and one user. I spotted it recently, ordered and found it very much to my liking. One person's clunky is another person's sturdy and durable. I probably would not want to wear the unit all the time, but I don't have one of those kind of jobs. In our home office, it works just fine for my wife and I to share and we very much like the built in key pad. We have owned other headset-handset combinations and I have never liked the fragile little wire connecting the two. I am absolutely indifferent to whether the key pad feature presents a geeky appearance since around here we care about utility rather than headset fashion, whatever that might be. Technically, I am somewhat puzzled by the description that it feeds back or something of the sort. Adjust the volume, which is easy after about 30 seconds of practice and the placement of the microphone; the same is true of the button to toggle call waiting or to start or end a conversation. Since I probably have the attention of Xerox right now (and we do own copying and fax machines from them), when are you going to figure out that the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands is part of the United States. We bought your other products from your office here on Saipan, but to get this phone on which I am lavishing some praise, I had to have my daughter buy and ship it from the mainland, since Amazon won't send it here. Go back to the geography books if you want to expand your market for this consumer product.

Summary: Bad design, poor construction
Review: I wouldn't admit this anywhere else but I am a bit obsessed by cordless headset phones. I have more variations than I will reveal, but suffice it to say I have basically tried enough to lead a product development team. My experience with this unit was at a Best Buy but I didn't have to plug it in to find its problem. First, there is no reason to put a key pad one the headset. 1) it makes it very bulky, 2) you can't use it to dial when you're on it (say for voice mail, getting though to your visa card) and 3) you look like a bigger fool than is necessary (there is a certain cost of entry for wearing a headset, but this one goes far beyond the call). That there is a key pad to on the base to mitigate this problem only ads insult to idiocy -- why did I buy a cordless headset to begin with? There are pretend cell phones for children with better usability design.

You can get the best units for less. Amazon carries the Plantronics CT-901 which is a great unit for the price ($40). Though not digital (range about 150 ft) it is very comfortable -- you forget that it is on your head, which is the idea. This company makes about 70% of the call center versions and it shows. There are a few other units by Plantronics (the famous c-10) with superior features but they haven't made it to Amazon yet. My fingers are crossed.

Summary: GREAT PRODUCT
Review: I've had this phone for 3 years and use it minimally, but love the convenience. Not having something clipped to your belt and wires dangling is an awesome benefit. Recently the speaker phone on the base unit went out and finding a replacement phone has been a real task, but as soon as I find one you better believe I will snatch it up.
