Review: The ability to add handsets is one of the best features of the 2420 system. Setting up new handsets is nearly effortless: just enter the numbers on the bottom of the base unit to register, and it's working. You immediately get the ability to page between handsets, not to mention all the other great features of the 2420.

Summary: Phones don't give warning...just go dead!
Review: We bought the main 2431 with 2 add'l handsets. ALL the phones, when the battery is low it goes "Beep beep beep" as a warning and then dies!!! By the time we search for another one the call has been disconnected. I have another VTech phone that's not near as expensive and it warns when battery is low and gives you 3 minutes or so to change the battery.

Review: We have these phones. Now I am looking for something else. At least every other week it will cut off a caller when you try to answer the phone. It displays "searching for base." It doesn't matter if it was in the base to start with or even if you put it back!
