Summary: Great feature-rich phone with a great price tag
Review: Better battery life, range, and sound quality performance than the Panasonic and Uniden similar products. Really one of the best deals in the market; you get a lot of bang for your buck. We use this for home offices as an all-in-one solution and it's worked flawlessly. An added bonus - the design rocks and it saves a ton of space.

Summary: Bad sound quality
Review: I am dissapointed with the bad quality of the sound and the large difference between the volume you hear your own voice and that you hear from the caller. If you adjust the volume to hear your caller well, then you can go deaf when you hear your own voice! Really annoying. The quality of the sound to hear recorded messages is also bad. After a few months I bought a new phone. At least it was cheap...

Summary: bad phone
Review: I bought this phone about 2 years ago. My main problem is that this phone is so slow. You dial a number, you hear the phone dial the number and then a minute later the phone begins to ring. Also I am not sure why but this phone will not let you perform touchtone tasks with any automated service. I would not recommend this phone.

Summary: Buy something else
Review: I bought this phone because I needed a quick replacement for another cordless. First of all it was cheap didn't think it would be so bad. I was mistaken. After the usual 1st time charge, the reception was terrible. Tried to use it the next day the reception was still bad and people on the other end barely could hear me. Needless to say, I returned the phone the next day.

Summary: Yes you really do get what you pay for
Review: I had mine for 8 months also--buttons are failing to work when pressed. This is the second GE phone I had that this happened to. Guess it will be my last. OH--and yes after 8 months it is still under warranty, but you have to pack up the entire phone and send it back to get any help--which means you have to buy another to use in the meantime.

Summary: Handset disconnects
Review: I love GE phones because I find them easy to use. The answering machine on this phone worked great. However I couldn't get the handset to work. I charged the battery for at least 24 hours. From about day two I could not place outgoing calls. After I dialed I would hear the ring tone as if it were calling out, and then it would disconnect (presumably when the other person picked up the phone). Then after about a week, I couldn't answer incoming calls either because the phone would disconnect. Very frustrating.

Summary: Bad Buttons
Review: I purchased this GE phone about 1 year ago. Very inexpensive- but after about 10 months the number buttons became very hard to push. Remember when things used to last?

Summary: You Get What You Pay For
Review: I purchased this phone about 3 months ago. The reception is poor and I have difficulty hearing the messages left on the phone. I am now planning to purchase another phone to replace this one. Don't waste your money.

Summary: Buttons only last 7 months
Review: I purchased this unit in September. The number 3 button has to be pressed so hard in order to dial! I have had this same problem with other brands of cordless phones. My sister also has had this problem. Sometimes its the talk button, or one of the number buttons. I have contacted the board of directors at GE in Fairfield CT regarding this.
