Summary: Buyer beware
Review: If you purchase this product, I hope you are completely satisfied. It is my opinion that the reliability of Panasonic products has slipped in recent years, and this was confirmed to me when a product I purchased quickly failed. The reason I'm posting this is to warn you that the warranty that accompanies Panasonic products only has value if the company chooses to stand behind it. In my case, they weaseled out of it, leaving me with a total loss and no further recourse. Good luck with your decision.

Summary: Is this a phone or a piece of garbage?!
Review: In the past I have always had good luck with Panasonic phones. That is until I began buying their 2.4 GHz phones. The sounds quality is ok, but as other reviewers have stated, they cannot hold a charge at all. Most cordless phones should give you about 8-10 hours of talk time on a full charge. I get more like 2-3 hours of talk time out of this piece of garbage. I can't believe how mediocre this product is. It makes me physically ill just thinking about the poor performance I receive from this high priced trash! Whatever you do, stay away from this phone, because it will make you want to throw up.

Summary: Do not buy this phone
Review: Just like the other people the BATTERY on this phone is he worst I have ever seen. I have been a cell. phone user for years but never come across a phone with a battery problem such as this model.

Battery lasts only 5-10 minutes when the unit was completely charged. I finally trashed this unit.

Summary: Rotten battery life
Review: The phone has excellent clarity, range, features, but you can't get past the dreadful battery life. It takes FOREVER to charge and holds the charge for about a half hour (rated for five hours) of talk time. Ridiculous! This one's going back. Don't waste your time. I have read in many places (NOW!) about poor Panasonic battery life. Come on Panasonic, get with it!

Summary: want to buy mine?
Review: the phone won't hold a charge. you can't ever leave it off the base or it goes dead. Target refused to honor warranty, told me to call Panasonic. The Panasonic Customer service number is always busy, can't get through. what a way to run a business...

Summary: Great phone, great price
Review: This is my third cordless phone in three years. I always have problems with battery life and reception. I have owned this phone for about six months now, and I can't get enough of it! It has all of the features that I wanted when I was shopping for a phone. The speakerphone is on the phone, and works so well that my wife uses it about half of the time she talks. I have had no problem with the battery life (the key is to do a great job of charging it before you use the phone). The design of the phone is more like a cell phone (with a cool menu and all). The reception is excellent, even in my busy apartment complex and nearby microwave oven. And how much does this phone cost? $[$$]? It's a steal!

Summary: Very Poor Battery Life
Review: This phone has great features and is very lightweight. Unfortunately, the battery only lasts about 40 minutes when talking before it start an incessant beeping to warn you that the battery is low. And worse, it takes forever to recharge so once you've run the battery down, you basically lose use of it for the rest of the day. I have only had it five months and I'm going to have to replace it

Summary: Pleased overall
Review: This phone is definitely worth the price. I have had bad experiences with Panasonic phones before, but this one seems good so far.

The speakerphone (on the handset) is unmatched to any I've ever used. Very clear, very handy. Who wouldn't want a speakerphone that you can move anywhere you want?

The directory list is very handy, improved greatly from past models.

The 6 ring tones are nice, but only 2 or so are decent. The others are annoying. Literally. #4 is what I use.

The Hold feature is great. You can press Hold, and tell someone else the call is for them. When they pick up another phone in the house, your phone automatically hangs up. Very cool.

The range on this is huge. I've walked around my block, which is a good distance, with many trees, and can hear just fine.

This is a perfect phone if you keep it in the base most of the time after using it. The battery life is poor. But not too poor. I had a 2 hour speakerphone conference call on full volume and it lasted just fine.

Other features I like are the last 5 numbers redial, easily edited phone number directory, the ability to put the phone face up or face down in the base, and the headset jack.

2.4 Ghz overall is very good. There are two things that will cause static on 2.4 phones that they don't tell you. One is microwaves. Be near one and you will get static. 2.4 is what microwaves use. The other is water. If it is rainy and there are wet trees between you and the base, you will get static. Water absorbs 2.4 Ghz.

It's nice. I like it.
