Summary: Great Phone - Battery life is horrible
Review: As with other reviewers, I found the feature set is terrific, but the NiCAD battery is terrible. I bought one, charged it fully as per the instructions and after a 45 minute call the phone was dead. 14 hours later it was charged again, but the behavior continued. I called Panasonic and they said that they only had random calls about battery problems, perhaps it was a problem with this unit. So I returned it, got another and found it to be identical to the 1st.
Don't waste your money.

Summary: Piece of junk
Review: Do not buy this phone. First, the audio quality is below average, and the microwave totally interferes with it. More importantly, it stopped working properly after only 4 months. The battery life was OK for about 2 months, and then became progressively worse. By 4 months, the battery would last a whole 5 minutes before going dead (despite keeping it charging all the time). We sent it to Panasonic (we had to pay for the shipping), and within a few weeks, we received a refurbished phone. It was OK for only 2 months before the battery life started to become progressively worse (sound familiar?). It now works for only 15 minutes before needing a charge. Bottom line, we bought a new 2.4 GHz AT&T phone (which sounds much better, with no interference) and will throw this piece of junk in the garbage where it belongs. We will never buy another Panasonic phone again.

Summary: Great phone hampered by a short battery life.
Review: I allowed the battery to charge for well over 24 hours before using the phone for the first time. I am yet to experience any problems related to the battery, even after leaving the handset off the base for an entire day.

The PROS:

* Full of features, including 6 ring patterns
* 50-entry directory
* Terrific sound quality
* Controls are fairly intuitive
* Handset locator on base
* Battery charge indicator on display
* Caller ID
* Speakerphone (handset only)
* Good, clear documentation
* Electronic Volume Control
* You can delete ALL Caller ID memory entries at once
* Headset compatible
* Haven't experienced interference despite proximity to microwave oven
* Redial function stores last five numbers
* Price - great value for a 2.4 GHz model

The CONS

* Battery life only 5 hours with full charge. Nowadays,
cordless phones average 8-10 hours and up!

* Some of the ring patterns sound slightly distorted, possibly
as a result of the integrated handset speakerphone.

* To access the directory, one must press the navigation button
once to enter it, then scroll either up or down before being
able to find any entry by using the numerical keys. This
extra step is quite annoying. Other features require 1-2
more steps than one would expect - or want.

* Base looks cheap. Really cheap.

* Ringer volume too low, even when set to "HIGH."

* Flat earpiece takes some getting used to, and results in
display constantly getting smudged.

* Must look at the handset's display to find out whether calls
were received. There is no indicator on the base unit.

* No distinctive ring for callers in the directory.

This unit packs a lot of bang for your buck. Of the shortcomings, the real significant one is the relatively short battery life. But if you are not someone who's constantly on the phone, it's hard to pass on so many features!

Review: I do not reccommend this panasonic cordless phone the performance, (when i am talking to someone they ask me what phone i am using) is very poor and it seems to be most of the time in need of a charge, there are just two many functions crammed in one headset, I have had several cordless phone this is the worst one yet

Summary: Pricy, but worth it
Review: I was looking for a good deal on a decent 2.4GHz phone with caller ID but without an answering machine. There are cheaper ones out there for almost the same features as this one, but I've used Panasonic phones before and I've come to trust them a lot. This one certainly has certainly boosted my confidence in Panasonic even more!
Here are the pros of this phone:
1) The quality of the sound is absolutely great, no one would ever know you're using a cordless phone. Even the speakerphone is really good. I use it quite often - it's very handy carrying the phone around with you everywhere and not having to put it by your ear all the time.
2) The range is super (I've tested my unit at least a 100 feet away from the house, and it was crystal clear!).
3) I've had no problems at all with battery life. (I'm just mentioning this based on other reviews I've seen about this phone).
4) The phone has 2 ringer volumes (low and high) and 6 different tunes - this was important to me since I was going to keep the phone in the bedroom and didn't want a loud or annoying ring to wake me up. I ended up choosing a low ringer volume with a nice melodious tune and I simply love it! I don't wake up grumpy anymore when the phone rings and wakes me up!
5) For the caller id, the phone groups together the same phone number and just lists that number once and tells you how many times that number called you. For instance if someone called you 16 times from the same phone number, the caller ID list would show that number only once, followed by 'x16'. Thought that was pretty cool.
Here are the cons of this phone:
1) When reviewing the caller id list, if you delete the numbers one by one, it takes very long for a single deletion. Deleting all the numbers one by one takes forever. You can 'clear all', but obviously you can't use that if you'd like to keep one or two numbers (which is what I typically like to do).

So overall, I think the phone is a little on the expensive side, but certainly worth the money. The speakerphone on the handset and the different ringer tunes are (in my opinion) two of the best features of this phone!

Summary: perfectly satisfied
Review: I've had no issues with battery life for this phone, so I wanted to write a positive review. The clarity of calls is excellent, as is the range of the handset... I've not had any static problems or calls cutting out on me. I like the fact it has a directory feature for storing names, and it's very simple to use. I'm happy and would recommend this phone on the strength of its call quality alone, its speakerphone option, and for those who subscribe to a voicemail service (this model doesn't come with an in-built answering machine feature).

Summary: Please don't buy this phone
Review: I've had this phone for about 6 months. It was great until about a month ago, the battery just died. It can be fully charged, and then after about 20 mins. of talk time, it is completely drained and unusable. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

Review: I've owned a Panasonic cordless phone in the past and it was wonderful. It's probably 7 years only and still works great. But this phone has had one problem after another and Panasonic customer service refuses to take care of the problem. I've been through two phones already and they each have had different problems (no battery life, fading signals, etc.) I recommend an entirely different brand.

Summary: returning mine
Review: If you leave it off the base for more than a few hours it totally loses it's charge. Complained to Panasonic and they were no help.
