Summary: Not a great phone
Review: I bought this phone because Uniden phones come so highly recomended. It has so many features for the price. They must have scimped on quality when adding the extras. I did not care for this phone. The recoreding quality for the outgoing message was very poor. When making a call the volume for the person I was talking to was low even on the highest setting. My own voice however was unbelievably loud in my own ear. The answering machine had a bit of an echo and there is no place to write down the stored numbers so you know who is in which spot. I am returning this phone and will try a higher end Uniden.

Summary: Pretty Good System
Review: I really don't really like to rate items that I don't want to give 5 stars to. After all, Mom always told me, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." I feel I should tell you a little about this phone though. There are definite good and bad points. I've had this phone for a while and it's seen the best of days and the worst.

My biggest complaint about this phone is the handset's battery. I actually almost threw this phone out after the second battery died. For some reason, however, I didn't. I spent the next year using a Panasonic that completely kicked the bucket. I plugged the Uniden back in figuring that 5 minutes of battery was better in case of an emergency than nothing at all. After the full charge, the phone was back to normal. Something happened to the Uniden's battery during its resting period that revamped it! I now have two batteries for the Uniden at home and when one goes, I put it quietly away and use the other battery until that dies. By that time, the battery that I put away a couple months ago is now ready to go again. Yes it sounds tedious, but it's alot less expensive than buying new batteries all the time or buying a new phone. The batteries aren't lasting as long as they used to, but I'll always keep one around for just in case purposes.

The answering system is as good as it gets. I have never lost a message and my voice always sounds crisp and clear. I put holiday music on the system along with my outgoing message for about six weeks every year and I always get compliments. Yes, I like to beat my last year's message every year, but still, if the system didn't work as well as it did, it wouldn't sound as good as it does.

The only other thing that I can say about this is that it's unfortunate that there's no speaker phone on the handset. That, however is my own personal preference.

All in all, this is a good phone for the money. And now that you know about the battery life cycle, feel comfortable giving it a try.

Review: My mother buys a combo cordless/ answering machine atleast twice a year and Ive had this one for almost two years. Ive dropped it numerous times, lost it, spilled things on it, etc. and it still works. Overall Id say Im very pleased and the price was awesome.

Summary: get what you pay for
Review: The 9 button works sporadically. Needs a new battery but had a hard time finding one and cost was half as much as a new phone. Phone only a little more than a year old.

Summary: Answering Machine Leaves Something to be Desired
Review: We've had this phone for about a year and haven't been thrilled. The most disappointing is the answering machine. The outgoing message is not very clear and the incoming are scratchy and not clear either. Just this last week it finally kicked the bucket. I thought it was just the battery but we've replaced it and it still is not working. I'm searching for a replacement now, won't be buying another one of these though.
