Review: I discovered Uniden a few years ago - who knew their phones would be so great!? I've had a few other phones & brands (and used a few more at friends' homes) but this is the best by far. Clarity is perfect (I bought it for my basement line & can go upstairs & outside while walking the dog with it!). Features are great - caller ID lets you add the number easily to auto dial, redial of last 3 numbers, 5 volume settings (an improvement over past Uniden versions), multiple options for call waiting/caller ID (you can choose just to hang up on someone or send them to your voice mail, among others). The list of options goes on. I was looking at 2.4G phones for a while & this model has everything I wanted...at a great price (they have come down lately). Highly recommended...but yes, you do have to clean it like everything else (if you don't get the reference, see other Amazon opinions).

Review: I have had this phone for years with no problems at all. Love it 100%. The handset is very comfortable and easy to use. I recently bought a second one and wish I had bought a third one. Unfortunately Uniden no longer makes these phones. Uniden made a big mistake by stopping production. I have not found another phone by any manufacturer like this one, not even Uniden's new phones. These phones have batteries that require that they be returned to the base regulary, not necessarily after every call, but DO NOT leave it off until the battery goes dead. If you do the battery will not last very long. Most problems can probably be linked to this issue.

Review: I owned this phone for a whole 7 MONTHS before it just quit working for no apparent reason. Up to that point, I was very happy with it. I have been a fairly consitent Uniden customer, but this phone wasted my money.

Summary: Great phone.....for a year
Review: I owned this phone for almost exactly one year before it died. It was the best phone we ever had. Great range, reception, clarity, easy to use--no complaints. After one year it stopped working. We replaced the battery and that did not solve the problem. Now I'm shopping for a new phone.

Review: I owned this phone for less than 1 year, I have to say the 900 MHz works just as well. The phone went dead in less than 1 year; replaced the battery for $17.00; still doesn't work. An expensive phone for only 1 year lifespand. I'd go with the cheaper Uniden's phones - I'm going on 3 years on my 900MHz Uniden and it also works better outside.

I almost considered replacing it with a new one until I read these reviews and see that other people have had this same problem. Uniden has a serious quality issue with this model.
