The Sony SPPA9171 900 MHz analog cordless phone offers call waiting and caller ID capability, a built-in digital answering system with three individual mailboxes, and dual language voice-guided operation and call display (English and Spanish). All call features are accessed through the handset, which features a three-line backlit LCD. Caller ID memory stores up to 18 names and numbers, while a separate 100-number directory is accessed through the convenient jog-dial control. The handset also features a lighted keypad and permanent flash memory that retains information even if the power is disconnected. The base unit offers desk or wall mounting and houses the digital answering system. The three message boxes are perfect for busy households or small offices, providing privacy and message security. A unique and handy feature is selectable message recording quality--high, medium, or normal. Recording time depends on the recording quality selected; high quality records up to 8 minutes only, while normal recording quality records up to 18 minutes.
