Review: I decided to purchase this phone because I was getting rid of an old AT&T cordless phone/answering system that I have had for years. I wanted to buy something comparable, but with a caller ID and head set. I first bought a Uniden 2.4 Ghz cordless phone/answering system. The quality of the answering system's digital playback was seriously lacking. I also experienced the problem of hearing my voice as an echo; just like other reviewers wrote about. I returned the Uniden, and decided to spend the extra bucks to get a Panasonic. The Panasonic phone is stylish and has crystal clear reception (even with the antennas down). The range of the Panasonic phone was slightly further than the Uniden, but they were both about 100yards (good enough for me). After having owned the phone for a week I am learning about several flaws with the Panasonic:1. With my old AT&T phone I could quickly dial my frieds by pressing the "Mem" key and a number. On this phone it is a chore. I have to hit function, press down on the big blue button, press the side of the blue button, press the number corresponding with the person's name, and then press talk. 2. Many times I have to press a button on the handset several times before I get a reponse. 3. The hand display is backlit, but the base display isn't. My phone sits in a dark portion of the room and I like to quickly glance at the numer of messages. 4. The display becomes oily since the earpiece sits slightly further back than the display and sometimes touches my face. 5. The digital playback is better than the Uniden but isn't near the quality of my old tape answering machine. I am contemplating returning this phone and buying a seperate answering machine from the phone. I have seen a Radio Shack 900Mhz phone/answering system advertised that looks promising, but I am going to see if they will let me try it out in the store.

Summary: THE WAY TO SOLVE ERRORS!!!EVERYBODY LISTEN UP!!!
Review: I am a boy from CHINA!!!Many KX-TG2570S were exported from US as rubbishes and imported as treasures! EVERYONE here claims that the phone has "OUT OF RANGE" errors. But do you have your own way to solve it? You just send them back to Panasonic; you never want to solve this problem use some simple tips and your talented brains!!!I am a computer science major. While I programming, i always making many bugs, when the error first occuerd with me, i thought this error was also a bug and can be solved in a simple way, below:
STEP 1:Pour a cup of coffee and find a nice chair!
STEP 2:Getting your cordless phone in front of you!
STEP 3:Try several times by putting the handset back to the main and take it back, open the on/off button on the handset, make sure the display is "TALK";(This step is important, you must be patient to get the last result:the dailing TONE and the "TALK" message)
STEP 4:When STEP 3 was done, it is OK when you press on/off button on the handset without put it back to the main unit, this is what the bug begin, see STEP 5:
STEP 5:IF you put the handset back to the main with the handset in status:"off", when you take the handset next time, the error will occur in a high possibility(too high to be used), but if YOU PUT THE HANDSET BACK TO THE MAIN WITHOUT TURING THE HANDSET POWER OFF, THE ERROR WILL NEVER OCCURS(JUST THINK THE HANDSET DO NOT HAVE A ON/OFF SWITCH ADD PUT IT BACK IMMEDIATELY AFTER A CALLING)!!!BELIEVE IN ME!!!
STEP 6:Enjoy your new-birth phone and enjoy your coffee;

Summary: bad phone
Review: I came online to amazon.com to search for a new better phone and came accross this one. I already have it and it is the worst phone i have ever had. i've had it for about almost three years and i shouldn't have even kept it that long. The battery life is EXTREMELY short. i talk on the phone a lot and i cut almost all of my conversations short beacause the phone needs to be charged. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Summary: Not as bad as everyone claims
Review: I've had this phone for 4 years and I have just now started having the 'Out of Range' error. Yeah, it's definitely obnoxious, but I managed to get 4 years of use out of the unit before it croaked. Up until now it's been an excellent cordless phone. The range is fantastic, the handset is very durable (it's been dropped probably hundreds of times), the caller ID and speakerphone features work as advertised and I never experienced any interference from other cordless phones or other wireless hardware. I'm going to look into getting my unit repaired but if that turns out to be more hassle than it's worth I will definitely be purchasing another Panasonic product as a replacement.

Summary: Battery doesn't last
Review: This phone has never been useful to us. You can talk 10 minutes and the battery starts beeping and the phone goes dead. We kept the phone on the charger when not in use BUT to no avail. We had to buy another cheaper phone and discard the Panasonic KX-TG2570B which cost $79.99.

Summary: Whats the longest you've ever had a cordless last???
Review: I've owned the 2570 for 3 or 4 years and find the sound quality and signal strength are great. I recharge the handset only sporadically but have never had a problem with the battery. Every few months the handset displays an "out-of-range" message which prevents making a call. I finally figured out that this simply means the phone needs to be cleaned. The remedy is to wipe-off the base and handset with a slightly damp clean cloth; then the phone works fine. I live in a city where the air is dirty. What would improve this phone? A stronger backlight on the phone and base displays; a speakerphone option on the handset (it's awkward as currently designed); and longer lasting numbers and letters on the handset - they are beginning to wear-off. What do I really like about it? The voice clarity; the rubber grips along the sides of the handset that make it comfortable to hold and prevents slipping; and the overall quality.
