Summary: Great specs poor execution
Review: I bought this phone from Hello Direct and I am returning it. (they have a 30 day return policy, bless their hearts). the features are great but I am unhappy with three things: 1. The handset is difficult to dial and I find that I often misdial 2. Cannot dial quickly because the number sometimes doesn't register just like phones ten years ago 3. The headset crackles when turned which the person on the other end of the lines hears so if you are walking around using a headset or put it in your pocket or on your belt you will get crackling 4. There is drop off in the voice of the other party so I find myself often asking 'are you there", very poor. Well i guess that's four but if you have clients I would never recommend this phone. It seems like Panasonic told their engineers to make the most feature loaded phone they could but nobody actually tried it before putting it in the box.

Summary: Looks great, troublesome to use
Review: I bought this telephone because it looked impressive and had a lot of enticing features. Also, it was on closeout and there was a rebate.I took it home and installed it. First problem: the phone is uncomfortable to hold, feels like it's going to slip out of the bottom of your hand. Also, the receiver is so close to the display window, you can't help getting skin oil all over the glass every time you raise it to your ear. There are other minor peculiarities that I won't bother to mention. This phone has more to worry about! Most troublesome is the convoluted "logic" behind how you access things and how you perform basic functions. There simply is no logic at all, and this phone has something of a learning curve! Oh, sure, the Panasonic phones are really impressive to look at, but the inner design of how all those cool buttons work is just plain goofy! This is a basically user unfriendly product. For instance, making a call to someone whose number is in your "directory" is a multi-button, trial and error, drawn out procedure and completely unintuitive. Worst of all, you get multiple hits from the dialing buttons! Say you want to dial 555-9846. What you may get is 555-9984, because when you hit the "9" button you got two nines instead of one. Or, you might get 555-5598, or 555-9888. I often had to try dialing a number two or three times before this stupid phone got it right. On the plus side, at least you can hear the multiple hits in the form of double or triple beeps, so you'll know enough to start over again, but who needs the agravation? Had the buttons worked normally, I would have given this phone three stars instead of one, but as it is, I had to return the product for a refund. An identical unit at the store did the same thing. I'll steer clear of Panasonic telephones from now on.

Summary: Static and crackle
Review: I had this phone for just over a year. I liked the features such as the LCD screen to display a directory and built in answering machine, but the problems are bad. Besides off and on problems, like not always getting a dialtone when the phone is removed from the base, I started to encounter bad static problems. These would occur if I was only standing 2 feet away from the base. The person on the other end could not ever hear the static so it is a transmittal problem between the base and handset. It is even worse if any appliances are working, especially the microwave. I purchased a 2.4GHz because I thought that a different transmittal range would give great clarity. Well, I now have a phone that is 2 months out of warranty and is unuseable. Stick with a quality 900 MHz phone at a fraction of the price and you will be much happier. I am now using my 4 year old phone.

Shipped it to Panasonic repair in San Francisco for repair. It was returned in a few weeks and worked fine- for about two months. Then reception went in the tank. At times there was so much static I couldn't hear. It went in the trash.

Summary: Atrocious use of good technology
Review: I have bought and returned 2 different models of this 2.4 mhz phone. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! This is the most user-unfriendly phone that I have seen, with the most remarkably glitzy look to it. Yes, the signal is crisp. But, as someone who has used computers for nearly 30 years, I am offended that this technology is so difficult to use: Sony's "jog-dial" feature puts this phone to shame. Sony allows you to store a new number in a couple of clicks. This Panasonic device is arcane and unforgiving. Both phones that we owned developed defective incoming ring signals within a week. This must be said: The lithium battery is a great idea. In summary, the phone LOOKS AWESOME. It underperforms its appearance terribly.

Summary: Good Phone - But missing features
Review: I have had the phone for about a month now and it has worked fine so far. It has great range (I have went up the street and to my neighbors house and still recieved calls). It only has one little problem of a slight ring/reverb when you talk coming out of the speaker after you have been using the phone for 5 or 10 minutes, this can get annoying sometimes. My only complaint about the phone is that it has no Mute or hold button. With all of the other features this phone has, I don't know why this was not included.

Review: I have owned a Panasonic Gigarange phone (the KX-TG2500S) for about 6 months and a 900MHz Panasonic cordless for about 2 years before buying this one. While I love all the additional features, the LCD screen, and the answering machine, this phone has some problems I didn't experience with my older one. It has happened only twice, but the phone has given out with the "No Signal" warning, even if I was standing right next to the base. Also, the LCD menu system is extremely counter-intuitive and difficult to navigate at first. However, this phone does have some redeeming features. The answering machine is very good and easy to use - it is almost a completely seperate entity from the phone itself. I like the auto voicemail button on the handset to dial automatically to an external voicemail service (or any number you assign the button). Nearly all of the time, it works with amazing clarity and with great distance. This phone is built well and very stylish. However, the bugs that the phone inherently has and the high price should make some people a little cautious. If you like the style, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, a 900 MHz Panasonic phone would be a better bet.

Summary: Best phone we have owned
Review: I have owned alot of crummy phones. So the first thing I did when I got this phone charged up was walk around the perimeter of our 2-acre lot while having a conversation. No static, crackle, noise, or crosstalk of any kind. The handset has a very hefty, solid design, and the backlit buttons are great. We love the phone so much that my wife bought another for her home office, and uses it with a headset. My father-in-law and brother-in-law love it so much, they are each buying one. Definitely worth the money...it makes more sense to pay for a great phone, then to pay less for several unsatisfactory phones.
