Summary: I Almost Forgot...
Review: Me again, the VERY WORST feature: HOW DO YOU GET CALL WAITING? I have tried in vain to anser the call-waiting, and I end up running into the other room, grabbing my PANASONIC phone, switching to that one, and THEN pressing "FLASH" which seamlessly leads me to the other call. I dont understand why Siemens can't put a flash button on this phone. If you want to show off, get a B&O phone, they at least function for all that they cost.

Summary: Oh Those Germans...
Review: While I agree with what most of the other reviewers say about the high-tech aspects of the phone, I find it's functionality to be questionable. Once a button is pressed it takes about half a second to register and thus for anything to be accomplished. My other cordless phone, a Panasonic, has the same wheel-menu thing in the middle and is is much easier to scroll through caller I.D. and stored numbers, without taking 5 minutes just to get through the caller I.D. menu. The ring choices are atrocious and irritating and I find it very difficult to get my messages. Once you receive a call, if you miss it, the phone will display a message which reads "New Message(s)." Okay, I dont think thatI am alone here when this leads me to believe that there are new messages... right? Okay, no, it just means that someone has called, and will then display the Caller I.D. when you press the button. (after the standard 1/2 second has passed). Anyway, overall I find it to be technologically ambitious, so much so that it negates it's everyday usability. Voice dialing is great, but if getting my messages is challenging, where's the excitement?

Summary: Bad ...click., click, click ..stock!
Review: Was on a conference call with a client, last week, and heard the amazing quality of the speaker phone. Rushed out the next day to buy the 4015. 1. speaker phone is amazing, volume is to low for loud rooms. 2. Basic functions are burred rather deep w/in the menus. While the interface and navigation of the phone is ok, not intuitive but ok. 4. horrible selection of rings: lets see do I want annoying beep, or more annoying beeps, or maybe an annoying chime, OH I know how about a really bad melody? (I heard the 8815 has normal rings ..no pun intended) 5. that clicking noise, that others have mentioned, is much more than a slight click. If you live in an apartment or dense city stay away....click.......click...click..... 6. the slim profile..click..is wonderful but impossible to rest..click..between neck and shoulder. Also, my ear is in a state of burring pain after an hour long..click..conversation. 7. the outgoing voice quality is excellent while the incoming voice quality is slightly above a 5 year old sony cordless I have at home. I give it 2..click..stars simply because of the speaker phone.. I'm returning it!!

Summary: Menu navigation required for call waiting
Review: This was a great phone for for the first month or so. (We have four.) The battery life is a joke. It uses old-tech (nickel cad) instead of lithium ion. You can let the phone charge all night, and the next day you're lucky if you get 30 minutes talk time. My wife found the menu system cumbersome, especially when trying to flip between calls in call-waiting. (The big buttons at the top never work, although the label "accept" pops up. It's more a dare than a suggestion.) By the time you navigate through 3 or 4 menu levels, your in-coming call has hung up.

Summary: Mediocre for the $
Review: I purchased the 4215 with high expectations, as you would expect.... I was looking for a state-of-the-art phone with cool features, that is hands-free capable as has great reception What I recieved was a phone that, although does some very cool features, is not comfortable to hold for long periods and is not hands-free capable (yeah, they got me there... you have to buy the additional handset for another [amount of money]). Also, the frequency of the phone is too close to the that of a microwave oven - so forget about chatting while you are cooking in the kitchen (but you'll need 2 hands for that anyway....) However, these problems were minor when capared to the technical issues experienced with the phone. I have had to return the phone twice because the phone "lost registration" and couldn't "find" ther base station. Yes, this phone is certainly is "state-of-the-art"... And be warned - Siemens will not refund your [money] they only "repair or replace"... Needless to say, here I am with a [less expensive]hands-free phone, trying to defend the logic of spending [more money] on one of lesser quality...

Summary: Seimens 4215 Gigaset
Review: The phone and handsets have been a big disappointment. The reception has been very poor with a constant "clicking" which is very annoying during conversations. The key action is very unresponsive and the caller ID function is poor compared to the much less expensive ATT phone we replaced .The concept of multiple handsets located around the home is great but the phones shortcomings make this one to avoid.

Summary: Excellent Phone
Review: This is phone is the best I have had. I bought a Panasonic 2.4GHz last year - the sound quality dropped off dramatically over the pass 3 months to the point it was unusable. I needed a new cordless phone - but not Panasonic.
The Siemens 4215 is excellent - great sound quality, so many features, multiple handsets. It is like a cell phone(s) for the home. No complaints at all. The best in the market.

Summary: There are Better Phones Out There!!!
Review: Okay, I'll keep this short. Siemens knows how to make electronics, but it doesn't know phones. You will get a high tech gadget made by people who are completely amateur when it comes to phone ergonomics. Like: 1) supplying the phone with batteries that wouldn't outlast my cell phone... LITERALLY. I hadn't talked on my phone all day, but apparently the ringing from about five phone calls (and maybe the little red light that flashes to let you know you have a message) drained it from full. By the way, the speed at which it goes from full to empty will make you have to cut short a lot of conversations. 2)Hiding the call waiting behind the "Mem" button... brilliant. 3)The incessant beeping when you are low on batteries... also brilliant. I can see the engineer on this one: "When ze phone ist low on batteries, ve vill make it beep loudly in ze customer's ear and interrupt the conversation... every five seconds!" 4)The maze of menus you must go through to do anything normal. I mean, how hard is it to put a redial button ON THE PHONE? 5)Lastly, no lighted keypad and no locator on the base, features I'm used to having since the early 90's. If you think this phone is great, it's probable because you haven't had a good phone lately.

Summary: Top of the Line !!!
Review: I have had this phone for three months now and I have had no trouble at all. It has a good range, very good voice quality, it comes with a digital answering system and allows you to register up to four handsets. The handset comes with a good quality speakerphone which always comes in very handy. I would purchase this phone again. It's the best phone I have had. I also have a 4015 which comes with less features. I give this phone 5 stars !
